The breaking wave makes me think of ice.
It was an oddly calm ocean. The waves were not crashing so much as rolling in, creating that glassy effect.
At first glance I thought it was ice.

I miss a beach, I haven't been to one in 6 years.
The waves had interesting textures that day. They looked icy as you say. The beach always relaxes me. The water is very cold though, so it's not great for swimming.
I can even imagine that, the water is very cold at that moment hahaha...

Thank you! I placed the camera close to the ground to try to get some wave action. They were coming in gently and created a glassy effect.
