never had a pumpkin pie. we do have pumpkin. may be i will make one
Ohhhh.... who knew? It is a traditional thing here in the south. We also make pies out of sweet potatoes that are similar. Some people make them with happy spices and some leave them sweetly plain, but we like spices. Tastes like the holidays!
i checked out some recipies online, all recipies includes something called nutmeg, don't have it. would taste okay without it? is it a very essential ingredient?
It will be fine without it. I don't think Mom included it on this one, although she sometimes does. Cinnamon and a hint of cloves and whatever baking spice tastes like the holidays to you. :)

looks good! love pumpkin pie! We make it with our own garden grown pumpkins.
Oh ! I think everything tastes better when you have grown part of the ingredients yourself. Can't get fresher than that !
Oh man... my wife had plans to make one this past weekend, but the weekend came and went so fast she never did. This weekend though, definitely!
