Up to now, I've not tried various events/offers/etc on Binance, but I just noticed there's something for HIVE! 'Flexible staking' at advertised 10% APR, in FAQ they say it's acrrued every minute.
Dropped ~500 hive there. Let's see how it works!

interesting! is it "flexible" as in withdrawable at anytime?
Yup. Seems I can withdraw anytime, and it seems to add whatever it accrued.
Let's do a very coarse check - I wrote first post ~32mins ago. First screenshort shows 548.451533 now it's 548.455377, difference of 0.003844 hive over 28min -> 63 hive over 365 days, that's 11% APR.
TBH, I'm not 100% sure. You can see on the 2nd image - in 'simple earn' group, there is 'flexible' and 'locked'. Those 'locked' have clear start-date and end-date. But 'flexible' - just 'redeem' button (not visible on image)
You get ~12% powering it up and curating.
If you trade for hbd, you can get 15%.
Neither has 3rd party risk.
You have the keys to the coins.
It makes me wonder if somebody isn't playing the middle man there and taking a cut.
Yup. For HODLing, it's better to keep it as HBD savings.
But if not HODLing, can't have liquid hive/hbd and get 'passive apr' from it.
Binance offer is worse in APR, but seems to provide fast liquidation at request.
At least, advertised. Small print says it's not that nice.
Small print from the page:
I guess no insta-liquify-and-sell if the coin skyrockets suddenly :)
Sudden market volatility may result in your coins being unavailable.
The usual shenanigans.
3rd party risk is off the charts right now.
What do they use it for? Rigging witness voting again?
Once I buy Hive there, for aslong as it sits on their internal accounts, they can do whatever with it.They might even not have bought it yet at all when I ordered.I only see something upon withdraw,or after-sell balance increase. Just like any other coin on any external market IMHO
