I wouldn't go that far. Hive is good for sure in many ways, yet the major drawback is voting power, both for governance and curation. Until these are addressed it is not awesome IMO.

I've had a few shares on reddit deleted by mods, with no reason given of course. I don't think I'm breaking rules and it seems pretty inconsistent. Time will tell I guess. 😀
They can do it, sometimes by mistake, sometimes because of a bad mood, sometimes they dislike links but haven't yet mentioned it in the rules. So finding a truly link-friendly sub is an important part of the Hive-share challenge. :)
They accept links but apparently consider Peakd a "spam" site.
Unfortunately most of my posts are relevant to that sub and the ones that got through did well. I'll look around a bit but not overly hopeful.

We had them in the south of the UK earlier in the year which I've never seen in my lifetime before but we missed them here.
Oh no. We appearently had them several times here even in Germany last year, but never at my town. It was always too cloudy.
