Shishi vs. Aonishiki
Too bad that one of my favorite sumo wrestlers, Shishi lost this bout against Aonishiki, who is also from Ukraine. This is the first bout ever in sumo history that two Ukranian sumo wrestlers had a bout in Makunouchi rank, which is the highest division in the sumo grand tournament. Good job, Aonishiki! And, I hope that Shishi will do well in next bout πππΊπ¦

The first bout between two Ukrainians in the makuuchi division, Shishi (Rai), 13th from the west maegashira, and newcomer Aonishiki (Ajigawa), 15th from the east maegashira, was won by Aonishiki, who pushed him down to take a 3-3 win. This was Shishi's second loss. Aonishiki broke his opponent with a uke-nage from the left after a four-right hand and pushed him away strongly. In the previous tournament, Shishi won by shoshioshioshi on the 12th day of the juryo division in the championship match, leading to the victory.
