The number of interviews is growing... You asked for them, you got them... 😃 It's always nice to find people who are doing cool things on HIVE and to have a talk with them... Many times, their work is crucial but still not "visible" enough to the community... That's why it's important to bring cool Hivians to the spotlight and give them space to show their work... Every Hivian is important, and if you are creating and engaging with others, your work is appreciated!

Created in Canva.com
As I wrote in the announcement post for the show, meaningful comments are crucial for HIVE! Without them, HIVE would be just a "news portal" without feedback, without the space to "express yourself", especially if you don't create content... Luckily, you can always leave a comment in the comment section, ask the author questions, or engage with other commentators... For a long time, comments were "forgotten" and somehow, not appreciated enough... But, with @TopComment, our special guest on the show has worked on that issue to make a change!

I have created short titbits as a description of the video... (they don't cover all that was said, so please check out the recording too!)On this HumpDay, we had a great, relaxed talk with @FriendlyMoose, not just about the @TopComment but also about broader topics connected to HIVE, and I would strongly suggest you check the recording of the show! The other participants in the show (our great audience) were inspired during the show, asked many questions, which made it all a lot more interesting! They were those meaningful comments on a post during the show!!! Thanks guys! As usual,
In the beginning, @FriendlyMoose told us more about himself and his crypto journey... Also, he shared how he found HIVE and his first steps on this platform through the eyes of a photographer...
During the show, it was obvious that many people from the audience did know him from his Hive Photo Contesthere...! Also, @ninaeatshere met him in the Cycling community, which was his creation... Check the community
The idea for @TopComment came from posts that @FriendlyMoose published in the Photography community, where people would comment by giving tips and useful comments... So, why wouldn't we have a tool to reward those great comments? Sometimes, comments are better quality than a post, but on the other side, they aren't upvoted better...

To find these posts, @FriendlyMoose is using a script that filters out posts with X number of words, as a good, meaningful post needs to have more than 2-3 words... In the next step, curators (currently there are two that help him on the project, @lauramica and @roadstories) are checking manually those comments and rewards those who are genuine, relevant to the post, and of course, valuable to other readers too!
There is another way of finding good comments that anyone on HIVE can do it... If you spot a good comment, you reply to it, and in the end, you just tag @TopComment... After that, team curators will check it out and see if it is eligible for support!
Like I said in the beginning, participants in the show were inspired to ask questions during the show... @buttcoins asked about AI bot comments and how to spot them... @cositav mentioned Spanish language and translation of the show in the chat, so I asked a similar question to our guest... Do they reward other languages' comments?
@manclar had a question about collaboration with @commentrewarder as it is following the @topcomment trail and giving additional upvotes... It's great to notice that we didn't have any tool that would reward comments a few months ago, and now we have at least 2!

In the second part of the show, others from the audience had a chance to jump on the mic and ask questions... First was @starkerz, who mentioned how we could find genuine people when Hivians spend HBD in some Hive businesses... "proof of person" concept... For example, having a badge that you are a real person! Great idea!
@achim03 had a question about the financial side of the project... If there is any, or if it is still voluntary work... These things are important as they very often provide longevity to the project... Most HivePower that upvotes comments are coming from delegators, so if you want to help out the project, you can delegate some (please, not all! 🙂) HP to @topcomment!
We had a few more interesting questions in the chat section... @buttcoins asked where FriendlyMoose sees TopComment in a year, @manclar asked about the support to comments in other languages, and @foxkoit wanted to know which skill our guest would master instantly, if that would be possible... 😃
At the end of the show, @FriendlyMoose shared the challenge for the listeners of the show... It's not limited to those who were in live, so check the video for more details about that!

Don't forget to check out the show recording below!
Special thanks to @FriendlyMoose for accepting the invitation to be a special guest on the show!We had 20 participants (including our guest and myself) in the show this week!!! As usual, we had an after-show where we talked about different topics, but that part wasn't recorded, and to participate, you should have joined the live show! 🙂

Liotes website... Of course, if you are not interested in it, you can sell tokens on the Hive-Engine market...Thank you, guys and girls, once again! As a sign of appreciation, I will send some LEN tokens to all participants of the live show! You can pair them with LENM tokens, add liquidity to the diesel pool, and earn rewards! To encourage more people to come on the mic, I usually send additional ECENCY points for those who are sharing things in voice... We had a special guest that day, but we had an open mic part of the show where people could ask questions on the mic... This week, POINTS go to @starkerz and @achim03 as they were the only ones that came on mic to ask questions to our guest!
Special thanks goes to @melinda010100 and @good-karma for providing the space for the event!
Thank you for your time,

I guess if we allowed AI comments many people will begin to utilize it, because of how lazy they might become to reply comments on their posts. We've fought AI issues in the past and to be very honest if we allow it, Hive will become a cesspool for people who just want to farm and nothing else.
I see the idea for topcomment. It's a very good initiative, it's not perfect, but its purposes are genuine and can encourage altruistic and natural engagement
Allowing AI comments would be a disaster... But it could happen without us noticing it... As FriendlyMoose said, in a year or two, these tools will be better and better...
It sucks, but in the end, we will choose with whom you want to interact... With a machine, or with real people... Maybe we will need a "proof of humans" badge on HIVE :)
It's a nice project. I never really thought about AI being used for comments. It's an interesting way to think about those spam links. I guess SEO might be a good reason for them, but I thought that SEO wasn't very good for ranking on the Hive front-ends.
As you probably heard in the recording, that was what surprised me the most! Those spam comments wouldn't spend their resources to post where there are no benefits for them...
So, maybe we are doing something right here! 😃
I missed the beginning of this program and I can follow it here. Thanks for inviting @friendlymoose, man, I had the chance to get to know him better and I got involved in the project.
Woohooo! We accomplished at least one good deed by having him as a guest! 🙂
!LUVGot to find time to catch this recording! Yeah I have heard of this project because one of my comments got upvoted by them, and I was curious where they came from. Am a HP delegator to @topcomment them - always love to support meaningful projects!
Good to hear that you were upvoted by them! It means that you did a good job engaging with other Hivians... ;)
Hahaha I was lucky! I think it was because someone wrote a post on a topic that I could relate to very much.
(1/5) sent you LUV. | tools | discord | community | HiveWiki | <>< daily@ph1102, @relf87
Good interview! I listened to the whole thing, by the way to practice my English listening 😅.
As I said before, I'm glad that this project is being given visibility because I think it's something we're missing as a community. Encouraging engagement in comments not only shows an interest in reading, but also a desire to interact with each author.
Thank you so much for this space and for sharing the talk with everyone. I hope people start mention @topcomment account in comments they find valuable so we can support them 😃. And I hope the project continues to grow.
Congratulations @friendlymoose for the great idea!
The whole team is doing a great job! Congratulations on that!
As I said in the show, something like TopComment was very much needed... You can't fake meaningful comments... 😃
Great show was yesterday!
I did the challenge, although i had the topcomment vote before, but i think the author of the post helped the comment to be recognized by tagging it 🙂 (or the script did the job).
I will see in the coming days, I will try to attract recognition with interesting and useful comments.
PS. So it's not too bad to delegate my HP for interesting projects, which I occasionally increase by investing in Hive and HP?
But a smaller part, as you advised 🙂
Thanks for being part of the #HHHLive family! It was great to have you!
Regarding HP, everyone can do whatever they want with their HivePower... What I said is just a friendly suggestion... It's great to help other projects, but we should take care of ourselves and grow... then we are even more valuable to others and can help even more... 😉
It always reminds me of the airplane-crashing scenario story... In the first place, you put your oxigen mask on your face, and after that, you help others to do the same... 🙂
See you at the next show! 🍺
Radim ko crnac, stalno sam vani, nikako ne dođem u vreme.... več sam u zaostatku za jedno tri podcasta :)
If you call AI in the comments for an answer and it answers you, that's not a bad thing either, but of course, it should have learned it first.
For example, when you call Grok(from X) for something, you can post it or not. Well, people will exploit this in all sorts of ways, haha. But let's not be Luddites.
Now, I'm going to listen to the whole story... 😎But the @topcomment thing is a very original idea :) 😜
Nadam se da ovo nece biti shvaceno rasisticki... 😃 ali si me podsetio na ovo
And regarding TopComment, it is a cool idea, but for example, I should mention it to show YOUR comment... But, of course, they have manual curators that check the comment if it is eligible or not...
And we had an interesting talk about AI in the show... multiple times...
ne radi video :)
ukucaj na YT "radim tu ko crnac" i trebalo bi da iskoci... 😃
😂😂😂
That's a very nice initiative, I might start pinging it then when I read a good comment... It's nice that everyone can call it and then it's checked
I know that making it automatic would be easier, but I like it because there is a manual check behind it! It makes it even more appreciated! 💪
Thank you very much for the invitation. I'm also interested in those Spanish translations so we Hispanics can learn and support each other.
Muchísimas gracias por la invitación, también me interesan esas traducciones en español así los hispanos nos enteramos y apoyamos.
If I understood well, the TopComment team has Spanish-speaking members that curate ES comments too!
Thanks for joining the show!
I am aware of it but I do not know why for some reason it does not look inspiring to me.
Hmmm... How do you mean inspiring?
It's more like an additional incentive for people to do a bit better in the comment section...
I feel . I am obliged to comment on my feed, and I fail in it.
So, leaving my feed and going for commentrewarder looks cheating with myself.
I think you messed things up... You are talking about CommentRewarder, and we were talking about TopComment... Those are two different projects run by two different people... One is by Acidyo, and the other is by @friendlymoose, who was our guest on the show...
Engagement with thoughtful comments is very important. I applaud your effort @friendlymoose
They are important! The best thing on HIVE! 💪
It was a very nice show 👍🏻
I'm glad that you liked it! It was nice to have you...
I hope you will come to the next shows too!
I didn't know about TopComment :) I think it might increase the quality of comments ;)
Check out the recording for more details... You should take the challenge... :)
