Promoting Ecency Premium

Like most people, I still use other social media platforms that are completely inferior to Ecency in many ways for obvious reasons.

Yet here I am writing an article explaining why we should be utilizing these platforms to promote a marketing campaign for Ecency Premium accounts.

All promotion of Ecency seems to take place in Twitter which hasn't produced the mass adoption we were hoping for when crypto enthusiast Elon Musk took the reins.

We do have a presence on Youtube and various other platforms, but I won't go into any details on growing that side although this campaign template could be applicable/beneficial to the other platforms.

I was also alerted to a racecar simulation which Ecency was donated ad space for a race or series of races somewhere in the digital world.

This is all just a part of the process of building a brand and I am not here to say that these efforts have been a waste but I am here to present the most mainstream form of social media marketing that we don't seem to be using AT ALL.

My survival the past few years has largely depended upon the growth/branding of my own projects proper use of Facebook targeted ads(with superior services, design, copy write, management and ad analysis ofc).

Facebook is the most effective marketing platform

Facebook targeted ads are a type of advertising on the Facebook platform that allows advertisers to display their ads to specific groups of users based on demographic, geographic, and behavioral information. This information is used to create targeted audiences for the ads, which helps to increase the relevance and effectiveness of the advertising campaign.

Here's how it works:

  • Audience Insights: Advertisers use Facebook's Audience Insights tool to gather information about their target audience. This information includes demographics, interests, behaviors, and location data.

  • Audience Creation: Using the information gathered from Audience Insights, advertisers create custom audiences based on their target audience. For example, an advertiser might create an audience of users who are interested in fitness and wellness and live in the United States.

  • Ad Placement: Advertisers select the placements where they want their ads to appear, such as Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network, or Facebook's video platform, Watch.

  • Ad Design: Advertisers design their ads and choose the objectives for their campaigns, such as website clicks, conversions, or video views.

  • Bid and Budget: Advertisers set a budget for their campaigns and bid for ad space. Facebook's advertising platform uses an auction system to determine which ads are displayed to users. The highest bidder for a particular audience will have their ad displayed to those users.

  • Delivery: Facebook's algorithms use the target audience and ad placement information to display the ads to users who are most likely to be interested in the products or services being offered.

By using Facebook's targeted ads, advertisers can reach specific groups of users with high accuracy, increasing the chances of their ads being seen by the right people. This helps to increase the relevance and effectiveness of their advertising campaigns, ultimately leading to better return on investment.

I would like to see the ROI from any other ads for comparison after the first $20 campaign.

The FB AD Tribe/Dream Team or w/e you wana call it; Centralized Marketing Conversion,

This proposal calls for a small team dedicated to managing, analyzing, copywriting and designing an ad that would meet the minimum threshold for a free ad spend credit of $20 for $20.

Role Responsibilities:

All roles could be filled by a singular individual but for decentralization and educational purposes I believe filling each role voluntarily will help to create a better understanding of the value in this proposal.

Manager- Planning & Execution with team collaboration and accountability/progress reporting
Analyst- Statistical Insight with Optimization
Copy Writer- Sales Copy Writing
Designer/Videographer- Asset Creation

This same team structure could be used as a template for marketing any Dapp to facebook or any other platform outside of hive.

Using AI, it would even be possible to reduce the workload of these roles but for training/growth purposes I think it would be wise to keep them well manned and making regular decentralized reports.

Or we could incentivize a community driven contest for artists and writers to produce the marketing assets/copywrite in this campaign as well.

There are many artists/writers here who I would love to work with on this project.

With a cost of $3.50 for premium accounts this campaign would need to onboard atleast 7 people the first month to break even and provide the data for analysis and projected growth insights(this is factoring in the $20 ad spend credit).

I would love to be a part of this team, but I would honestly be happy to see any kind of development here regardless of my allowance for participation.

The Real Question Moving Forward

I think the most important question that should be asked is who do you think we should be targeting for the Ecency Premium?

  • Which citizens would bring more value to the platform than the proposed adspend?
  • Who do you think would benefit the most from a platform like this?
  • Who would you like to see join our ranks?

A group of people I think would benefit greatly would be musicians who could gain exposure while monetizing their work and growing the platform with their audience.

A group who would bring more value for example would be other blockchain developers that may see the value of feeless transactions and that 20% APR on HBD savings.

I would personally like to onboard some professional skateboarders to the skatehive tribe.

To reiterate: This proposal is to form a team dedicated to an Ecency Premium advertising campaign on Facebook using $20 of ad spend to target at least 7-8 new converts for the first month.

If results of the first month exceed the 7-8 members additional funding is highly encouraged as the targeting is optimized with statistical analysis the conversion rate should increase over time.

I recommend increasing the funding 2x and adding an additional team under management for comparative review and repeating this cycle if the results show positive growth.

Funding the work of the team could come if the campaigns are successful and could be dispensed based on the effectiveness of each week's results or post rewards from updated reports.

Imagine if we used the targeting to onboard people who already create valuable content, are interested in social finance, community leaders or investors with developers to bridge other blockchain communities.

Just dare to dream a little with me here about hope in a space and time that feels dire enough to spring you into action.

Is $20 really too much for Ecency to spend on promoting its growth?

Organic growth can still be attained through the use of these centralized platforms like we have seen with the dedication some have to posting daily to Twitter.

As it stands, the last post on the Ecency FB page was in 2021 so I think it's safe to say there are zero efforts there anymore.

Join me in the comments if you agree that we should try this proposal for promoting the ecency premium account to new users from Facebook using a targeted ad campaign.

I would like to nominate myself as the manager of this campaign, but I would be willing and capable of handling any of the roles or all of them/none of them happily.

As a sidenote, I am not a blockchain developer but there could also be potential here for a DAO(partnerships could form between invested communities) that votes towards the management and direction of the targeting through staked voting.

The $20 is paid to Facebook through the Ecency account page and isn't a payment for marketing services which is what all these other people seem to be selling.

I would like to add that Facebook isn't always promoting the free $20 ad spend credits so this idea may need to be adjusted to $30 and onboarding 8 high value citizens.

All metrics used for targeting should be made public with data analysis reports and statistics from the fb ad center.

The first step of this entire process would be for Ecency to update their Facebook page with a glorious, detailed introduction to the new Premium Accounts.

Additionally, I would like to ask for $20 or preferably more to be donated to a contest for the community to create a 15 sec video pitching Ecency to be used in the campaign.

One way to do this would be to record one long video that talks about multiple keyword slogans we celebrate, or points of interest here and then cut it and edit to target all these niche joes later.

In conclusion, this is a campaign meant to drive actual growth in premium citizenship so I hope you will support it and I look forward to any feedback you all may have.

you should take your hive rewards and use them to make Ecency ads, and run the ads on facebook. Show the results to the Ecency community and maybe they will help fund your work. explain to them what you have been doing and show screenshots and results.

why have more people not tried that? i think if you mention cryptocurrency, you can not run the ad.

You likely didn't know that Facebook allows ads for cryptocurrency since 2021. Thats probably why others have been reluctant to run ads in that space and have been using the other platforms. Seems like Twitter has been banning crypto promotion more recently since Musk took the big chair.

Since the payment isnt for a tradable currency, Ecency points are not even a cryptocurrency I doubt we will run into any issues.
