Indeed, Albert Einstein said: “If I had one hour to solve a problem, I would spend 55 minutes thinking about the problem and five minutes thinking about solutions”.
We must be tolerant of different cultures, in this sense, “everyone uses their time as they see fit”.
No one has a “magic wand” to solve the problems that afflict humanity. We can spend hours arguing in search of the right answers and waste our time, we will get nowhere.
My answer would be for all the problems that afflict us: “live your time and let others live theirs”….
Is there a limit on how much you can ignore to maintain this position? For instance, if you see a man beating a woman or a child in the street, do you let that woman or child "live their time" or would you do something about it?
The aggressor is not complying with the precept of "live and let live", therefore a complaint should be made. Would you get involved in a couple's quarrel, would you get involved when a father is reprimanding his own son... Couples who quarrel end up settling their problems under the sheet...
If they are crossing a line and inflicting harm, yes I would.
Do you mean like domestic violence rapes?
No, in my country saying “the couple solves their problems under the sheets” means that “that's their problem” and if you interfere “it's none of our business…”.
