RE: Is it time

in Reflectionslast year

we, all of us, have the power to make effective and timely change...we just need to do it...but probably won't.

That's what I think and that's how it makes sense. It's not going to happen... I don't think mankind has ever been more divided, disbelieving, and confused than now. I don't see how the necessary numbers can come together to push for the right solution. Nothing will unite us. No cataclysm and no good example. We've all become so untrusting of each other.
I am glad there are still people worried about the future, there is still hope. It is impossible to physically unite and bring them together, but maybe they can create a network, like a blockchain (that is if I understand what a blockchain is) of those who advocate and can act to save the planet, both physically and politically. I think that if there is hope in solving these problems, it is also given by technology. And education!

It's a sad reality I'm afraid. Sure, there's good aspect but not enough of them and not consistently enough to affect real change, in my opinion.

I'm not sure where things will go, no where good though, and I think many will suffer in one way or another. Can it improve? Yes it can, but will it? Time only will reveal.

This is also my perception. I try to remain optimistic but I don't have much to base it on. I wondered why after antiquity, especially Greek antiquity, a Middle Ages could follow. I was glad that such a thing could not happen again. Now I'm not at all sure it can't happen again.

Well said and I agree. I'm sure those in England/UK didn't expect the Dark Ages when the Romans left, but things declined and much was lost. It's cyclic I guess.

It is certainly cyclical. Unfortunately, it's not to our advantage now...
