It's more about the ceremony I think, which I can kind of a appreciate. It's not so much about it being overly patriotic. Even though it is definitely patriotic adjacent. I'd view it like the changing of the guard in England. I've never heard anyone really complain about that.

I get the ceremony for the Superbowl, but it seems like it is for everything - is that the case?

Big events yes. Parades, sporting events, pretty much anywhere where people gather together to celebrate or something like that. It's mainly thanking our soldiers for giving us the right to freely do those things. You are probably right though, they do it so frequently that people probably don't appreciate it the way they should. It's more habit than something special.

And I think this is what I am more getting at. It gets forced so often, it loses meaning.
