I practically have heart attacks if my phone rings these days. It's understandable why people are hesitant to answer. Let's be honest, most calls are from salespeople or people wanting / borrowing something.
A random Discord DMs asking for favors is just like those annoying sales calls, unsolicited requests are a major turn-off. "Cold DMs" just doesn't work. In crypto, trust matters. If I don't recognize the name, the message gets ignored. Harsh? Maybe. But Discord is for friends and specific servers. Not for chatting with strangers.
Luckily, we have Hive! Engage with people on-chain. Discuss ideas, build relationships. Let others see your contributions. Then, Discord interactions won't be "cold calls" – they'll be warm.
This should be common sense, but maybe a reminder is needed. It's about courtesy and respect."
I don't like how so much of the communication is transactional in the sense that it is like a business activity.
