Not familiar with Robert Green Ingersoll but I like the quote. Causes and consequences are at the fabric of life as it is on Hive. We all decide on thousands of things in our lives, both consciously and otherwise, but all of the things we do act upon will have consequences, big or small, they will eventually come up. The thing about Hive is that all actions and consequences are recorded on the blockchain and ten or twenty years down the road, we will see who among us took the right path and achieved what they set out to do here. Whether it's financial success, social recognition, building a community or an app, we can analyze and see who did well for themselves and contributed to the success of the blockchain. Time will tell. 😎
Time often reveals the right or wrong of things, but not always. Let's see what happens. Maybe Hive won't be around in twenty years. I mean, there's loads of things that were popular that have simply vanished, Yahoo Messenger chat rooms for instance.
So true. I remember those Yahoo Messenger chatrooms, it was so cool back in the day. Now, if we could only make Hive cooler than what it is today then it might still be here 20 years from now.
