It took me 36 friggin' years to lock in the soulmate of my dreams, probably because I'm annoying
Felt.
Blink three times if she's hurting you.
After 12(ish) years, mine has finally broken me down into the marriage game. It's so incredibly expensive.
haha, actually I'm clearly the one more into the idea of marriage, and neither of us are that into the idea of the big wedding stuff which, to me, just seems extremely uncomfortable given how I have basically zero family or friends to show off to about it.
Better to just buy a ring, sign the legal forms for like 20 bucks and enjoy a bargain honeymoon!
I fucking wish. Maybe if I hit mine over the head with a rock enough, she'll agree with me. That's a method I haven't tried. I am into the sign the papers and honeymoon plan. She wants the princess "you better do it because I've waited 12 years for this" wedding.
Hahah your marriage sounds like it's gonna have a lot of character. Starting to make mine sound dull. Too amicable heh
I was like "hey we don't even like each other, why are we doing this?"
A lot of the "tension" comes from the fact that we never get to see each other. Conflicting schedules and waaaaay overbooked on my end. Whenever we do spend time together we get along alright.
She's still stubborn though (as am I).
Every time one of our kids are being a demon I say, "man, they're acting just like you right now."
Haha, I dunno, sounds like healthy conflict to me - other than the 'never get to see each other' part. I suppose if it's temporary and necessary for a year or handful, its ok. But wouldn't want it to become the status quo.
Traditionally marriage is really a pledge of commitment to your children so, you got that much right!
I have never actually heard that before. It's temporary in theory. Seems like it's taking longer than has supposed to. In any case, I'm happy for you man. I wish you and the soon to be wife many good years together.
