I am always amazed by the power of music. It can set the mood, help with thinking and studying, can make us feel different types of emotions, and it can even tie itself to certain memories.

It's a pretty amazing thing really, and yet I know so many people who rarely listen to it, don't seek it out actively. It seems odd to me considering how much a part of my life it is. Each to their own I guess though.
I think it depends on their relationship with music growing up. I know people who have background music when they have family meals, and they are massive audiophiles. I also know people who barely listen to music, and it wasn't a big part of their childhood.
