I haven't quite had a job in which I've worked for more than 9 months straight. It's been school after school so I do not know what it feels like to "take one off work." Taking one off school would've been a thing, but schooling doesn't give you much freedom, except on holidays after exams, which are filled with basically the same things - TV, hosting/visiting friends, more TV, until school resumes.
I've been quite the academic, and I can't wait to live life on my own terms.
Yours was a nice read BTW, chuckled everything I read, "Ignored a work call." It sounded like a guilty pleasure, or mischief.
Maybe you'll get a job that permits you to take a day off someday and you'll be able to see what it's like and if you spend your time watching TV it seems like you don't have much of the kind of responsibilities I have. That may change though.
