Hi @azircon and @dahpilot . Yes, I was also born in Cuba (Cruces, Cienfuegos en el periodo especial) but was lucky to have been able to leave to the US. I love our culture and can spend an entire night drinking and playing dominoes with family and friends. On a darker note, I have noticed how things are turning even worse as every day passes. I hope you are able to escape Cuba one day because I don't see it getting any better.

It's always nice to meet other fellow countrymen within the Blockchain, and as you said : Cubans are Cubans 😁.
How's life in the U.S?
Here, as you say, it's all about survival. At least by sharing a bit within Hive, you forget the bad and find good people, but every day it gets harder.
It's a pleasure to read your messages and discover your account thanks to your friend Azircon, who had very kind words about you
Life is wonderful for me. I have a job I enjoy, a good woman, good friends. I am lucky to be able to play Splinterlands on the side. In general though, things are getting harder for most people.
Your English is awesome btw, did you study it in school or self taught?
I'm glad to read that things are going really well for you. It's a blessing to be able to leave this country and move forward, and as we say, to reborn.
I owe my English to my mom; for 10 years, she paid for a tutor to teach me, and I suppose that despite the financial effort it represented, we are now seeing the fruits of that investment. Although it’s always difficult to maintain it in a country where just a few wants to learn it 😥
