Hello @adalger, @redheadpei and all members of the Amazing Nature community, How are you? Hope you are healthy and always fine. On this occasion I will discuss about one of the ornamental plants, namely zinia flowers. This ornamental plant in the form of flowers has several types and has different flower colors. With contrasting flower colors, such as red, white, yellow, and more. This makes the house that grows these plants look beautiful with a variety of flower colors. The photo of the zinia flower was taken with a smartphone camera, when passing the house where the plant was planted.
To be closer to this plant, I will explain a little about the zinia plant. Zinia is a flower in the form of shrubs and small shrubs that are native to Mexico, Central America, and South America. This flower has a very thin and stiff corolla similar to a sheet of paper. Zinia consists of 20 types of plants.1 With so many types of zinia plants, the colors of these flowers also vary. So if we plant several types of zinia plants in front of the house or yard, the home page will look beautiful with a variety of flowers.
It doesn't take long to take care of zinnia plants until they flower, because the blooming or flowering season of zinnia plants starts from late spring and ends in autumn. This makes zinnia plants fast growing and will usually bloom six to eight weeks after they are planted. Therefore, we do not need a long time to wait for zinnia plants to flower.
In caring for each plant we must always be careful, including zinnia plants. In order for zinnia flowers to grow perfectly, give manure regularly, every 2 weeks. And do watering zinnia flowers in the morning and evening with clean water, but do not water the leaves because it will make the flowers fall. Because if you flush the leaves with water, the flower stalks will quickly wither or rot. So we have to be careful in watering it.
Often seen at midday or the sun is scorching zinnia flowers look withered. Therefore, when the sun is hot, zinnia flowers must be kept moist so they don't dry out. Zinnia flowers tend to wilt in late summer or when the temperature or weather is hot, cutting them will encourage the growth of new flowers. In addition, zinnia plants will grow well in fertile soil media. That's a little review about zinnia plants, hopefully useful. Thanks.
