My mother has always called iris' Flags. She lumped them all together under the "flag!" I thought it was a cool name when I was a kid and here it was a real name.

Never too old to learn, many varieties of iris, wonderful stories attached to this species of plant. There is a Blue flag iris as well Denise, great to see you and trust you and family are well, new year feels much like the old year, keep smiling and we will do fine!
