RE: Seasons Change

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

I also find myself rueing lost memories, or memories that have faded somewhat. I do notice though that if I receive a trigger, they often flood back and I remember things and I hadn't of thought of in a long time!

I think keeping the memory sharp and treating it as a muscle that needs exercise is the best way forward as we age. and as we do age, we've collected so much data, even if its all stored, perhaps our retrieval systems start tiring a little!

Take care, looking out over the countryside on a frosty morning with a hot coffee, warming your hands is going to be beautiful!

It's not talked about much, but Alzheimers and Dementia, doesn't have to be genetic. It all depends on an individual, and as we change, we can develop certain conditions, or lose some "screws" if we don't do things that stimulate our brain power.

Have a great week ahead, and I dream of nice tropical places, in a positive way.
Thanks for stopping by:)Hello @nathen007, yes the mind is powerful, yet indeed as you've said, we do need to treat our brains like muscles and do whatever we can to keep memories and to be alert in general. There's almost a decade of my life where I have no photos of myself or anything. I do regret that sometimes, and desperately try to keep those fond memories alive.😏 I just realised that I could have dropped this under #silverbloggers, because that's what I am; I need to pull out those puzzle and mind books while sipping my coffee 😁
