Papillon charity also supports the local Rape Victim support center, and we dropped off some donations this morning.
So come and have a cup of flowers as I took a walk in their counseling garden.
Papillon supports several local non-profits that are engaged in community improvement and the Rape Crisis Center is one of them. We have a very high count of female rape cases in the country and so the victims come to the rape center to receive free assistance and counselling by professional volunteers. There is also a shower and clothing available to them and this is a very needed and essential service for the communities.
Come and walk with me in their garden.
First I will show you a new use for some old bathroom furniture.
And an old tractor tire also has a new life as a big flower pot.
And now for some flowers.
Please don't ask me for the flower names as I have no idea:)
Maybe some of the botanical fundis on hive can tell us what they are ?
The thing that I like about flowers is that their colors and their beauty leaves me with a very serene feeling. A certain calmness sets in when I take a slow walk and I drink in the delicate structures and the lovely colors. To me a flower of whatever kind was created to still my soul and the aromas feed my senses. Life was always meant to be beautiful and we can sing so many sad songs about twisting life to suit our own evil desires.
My own sister was raped and she passed away some years ago, so I know how the families of the victims feel and we laud the selfless services of the Rape Crisis Center.

A praiseworthy, necessary and indispensable task in any society. I'm sure those flowers offer some relief to the souls of rape victims. Beautiful photos.
