Hahaha, I told you before that habits change as one ages my friend.
When it's very cold, the first thing that I do when I wake up in the mornings is that I feel around in the bed in case something fell off during the night 🤣🤣🤣
Shame yes, I feel for you mom, as I remember so well how my gran had to struggle with her pains.
A very sad situation and a person feels so helpless as there is nothing that one can do.
They call it the ravages of old age and it is very true.

We all want to become old but no most of us can't stand the difficulties which come with the years ... the pain in the bones, the sight of the eyes and the ears don't hear as good anymore.
I would love to live hundred years and more, but I don't want to become old 😂

Hahaha, it becomes a habit my habit my friend. So at first you feel if the important stuff is still there and then you sweep your hands over the sheets to feel around like a monkey seaching for fleas.

So funny as the wife and I discussed the ear hair issue last night.
She always moans at me when I pluck the hairs out with my fingers.
I told her that I want to grow my ear hairs long, so I can tie them together at the top of my head to cover the bald spot 🤣
Not only that as my nose hairs tangle with my moustache making me sneeze often. So she said that I must cut my moustache off. Nope, I told her that I will rather have my nose removed 🤣

I shave my beard sometimes every day and sometimes I let it grow for weeks. At the moment my beard is about 2 months old.

I cut my beard in summer with the machine set on number 1, so it only leaves a stubble, but during winter I don't shave at all, as my skin is too tough and it hurts when I shave in the cold.
2 months old? Soon you will have it long enough to trim it into a goat beard, which will be very suitable for you as a mountain goat 🤣🤣🤣

My beard is too long and I don't like it anymore, but I said I will cut it when I've used up my vacation days from 2019. I still have 8 days from 2019 left and hopefully I'll be able to go on holidays in October.
