We had standards here and at standard 5, I was still small. Then in one year of standard six I became one of the tallest guys in the high school.
My mom had regular fits as she had to buy a new long pants for me every few months 🤣 !LOLZ

Yep, I think you have told me that a while ago. A friend of my kids has also been smaller then they were, but now he's 18 and almost 2 meters high.

Funny how these things can stick in one's memory and I always felt guilty when my mom had to spend her hard earned money on me for a new pants. Same like me that guy 😉

Sad my friend as my mom worked double shifts to keep a roof over over our heads and food in our stomachs. My estranged father never paid a cent of maintenance so yeah, I felt very sorry about the money that she had to spend on the new pants for me.

She was extremely strict and I only realized that it was necessary when I had my own kids. Nowadays the clever IT kids call their parents stupids, but I challenge any of those kids to try and endure what their parents had to endure, without the aid of IT.

Yep, I can only agree, and I have to admit that we haven't been very strict ... not a bit strict, to be honest, and I am happy that our kids have become good kids anyway 😊
I think it also depends a little bit on the genes, like good mountain goat genes 😂
