Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 115

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 115th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

First of all, I would like to apologize for the one day delay but the move that I wrote about in my previous post has been more complicated than I thought and there are so many things that I need to take care of these days. Sorry about that. Now let´s take a look at the picture that is actually one of the very last photos I took in Krakow before heading to Prague. This beautiful tulip field can be found in the famous Planty Park that encircles the historic old town of Krakow. I went for this somewhat low angle to put the picture in this interesting perspective. Photo taken on Monday, April 25. It´s been just a few days since we left Krakow but we are already missing it.

In the last round, we had 7 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

@betterthanhome with this entry from South Africa:

I took this shot two days ago at the Llandudno Beach here in Cape Town, South Africa. Sometimes I really wonder how these huge stones got here.

@friendlymoose with this entry from the Netherlands:

Here's another entry from me. It's becoming spring here in the Netherlands, so there are more and more flowers and therefore insects. The first butterflies are showing up. On my walk near the campsite I spotted this Peacock butterfly on some dead wood. The photo is from the last weekend.

Hello @phortun I am glad I stumbled on this post. These are truly inspiring and beautiful. Yesterday, I went to my daughter's school to pick up her report card and on my way there, I luckily had the opportunity to take this photo while the vehicle was running. This is a flame tree and mostly grow in tropical countries like the Philippines. For some reason, it took my breath away. Pure bliss. Its orange hues reminded me that no matter what happens, we all have the chance to grow, learn, a chance to be kind, a chance to smile and a chance to be inspired. Try and give a few others blissful moments today, too. Sending some smiles from afar. Location: La Union, Philippines.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

Hello!!
I hope you are having a great time. I want to share with you a special image for me. I particularly love the beach and although I live in relative proximity, I can't visit it as often as I would like and this photograph, although simple, has a great meaning for me. I took it last week in one of the beaches of Cumaná, Sucre State. Venezuela.

Hey there, good to see you here again after a while :) Thanks for taking us to this lovely beach!

Thanks for the welcome!
And yes, this is the beautiful beach of San Luis de Cumaná in Venezuela.

Thanks for choosing my butterfly as one of the winners.

This week I join with a photo of the meadows I took yesterday during a cycling trio with the family in a central part of the Netherlands where we have a mobile home.

Thanks for another great entry, I really like the minimalist composition, very cool shot :)

Thanks! I'll send in another one for this week! Captured more than enough nature shots in the past days 👍

Awesome! Cannot wait to check out your next entry :)

This pond happened in one of the Katowice's forests when old coalmine collapsed underneath, it's quite common phenomenon here in Silesian area. I have visited it yestarday during my afternoon spring walk. Few moments before taking this picture I met the family of boars.

Very nice scenery, thanks for sharing it with us :) I hope it was a friendly encounter with those dziki :)

Awesome, thanks so much for that. If you liked that one you like the new one even more. At least I think its such a beautiful atmosphere. It was at sunset yesterday on the Signal Hill in cape town, looking towards Lions Head.

Wow, what a stunning view! Beautiful, thanks :)

Today I was walking along the Vršac hill. (Vrsac, Banat, Serbia)

Green I love you green ...
After the rain, everything is as fresh, fragrant and blooming .... colorful flowers are pushed along the path, and my attention was drawn to this flower of an unusual color but quite striking ....
And I like it a lot, I just haven't been able to find out which flower it is ..

This flower was photographed today, that is, this morning ... 🤗

I wish you a nice weekend 🌸

Thanks for this lovely entry, have an amazing weekend too!

You're welcome...thank you ☀️

Hello , this is my entry, i took this picture yesterday while exploring My aunt's garden, i found this two beetles, and i took some pictures, i tried to move one of the beetles to another leaf since the light was not good enough to make good pictures, but i didn't have success, so i placed the beetle once again where it was. This picture was Taken where i found them for the first time, they were a couple. IMG_20220502_083716.jpg

Hey there, welcome to the challenge :) Thanks for sharing these beautiful beetles with us.

Yesterday walking along the beach barefoot, connected with the most authentic pleasure of feeling and enjoying nature in all its expressions, the air, the sand, the sea, the sky, the birds, the plants .... I stopped to take a deep breath and the mischievous waves, splashed my legs and showed a carpet of precious stones and seashells. I stopped to observe them and appreciate their beauty highlighted by the contrast of the water, I wanted to thank them for their presence by taking some pictures and they reciprocated by giving me a delicious massage on my feet, a wonderful experience.
Venezuela, Anzoategui State. 01 May 2022Hi @phortun, happy to share in round 115.

That must have been a very nice and relaxing walk, thanks for sharing your experience with us :)

Off topic...

Škoda, že to Beksa nezvládla co? :)

To si mě zbytečně pofandil :D

Strength and conditioning coach (schválně to píšu v aj, pže to líp zní :D)

Beautiful flowers...

Thank you! :)
