Lol I didn't know that snakes poop and pee when you catch them.
But why would you want to catch them?
Hmm I wonder what the spat could be about, perhaps the guys is lazy and not helping with the nest building..

It's a growing up in Arizona thing where you catch every critter, even snakes just to show off to your friends. Those sparrows are constantly having housing spats, maybe one was trying to steal nesting material.
LOL, I wouldn't get anywhere near ten feet of a snake, so I was curious.

Once you know which ones are poisonous or not going near snakes is fine. Though most of the nonpoisonous ones have the poop/pee defense mechanism if caught similar to frogs or toads.
