That's too bad you had to give up your pond. The toads do lay a lot of eggs in the spring but we remove a lot of them before they hatch. I used to have fish but a blue heron would come and eat them, so that ended that. I love listening to the water cascading and the birds love taking baths in the pond.

I would love it but our town does not allow having chickens or ducks. Otherwise, I would for sure.
Many towns don't allow poultry as pets in the garden we never grew up with so many rules. Have a lovely day it must be looking wonderful now entering autumn.
The nights are getting cooler now and the plants are dying back. Soon the leaves will begin changing color for fall.
We had a bit of snow inland which has given us another two days 'feeling' little winter, still hopeful as we have not really experienced a winter this year. Enjoy the change!
