Como realizar un Traje de Sirena para una Barbie / How to make a Mermaid Costume for Barbie

El día de hoy les traigo una Barbie Sirena, convertimos a una linda Barbie en Sirena, la verdad mi hija la disfrutó, solo en pocos pasos puedes crear distintas colas con tela de traje de baño o licra. Ahora si vamos a tener muchas sirenas en casa (risa).😄

Good morning, NeedleWorkMonday community.

Today I bring you a Mermaid Barbie, we turned a cute Barbie into a Mermaid, my daughter really enjoyed it, in just a few steps you can create different tails with swimsuit or lycra fabric. Now we are going to have a lot of mermaids at home (laugh). 

Materiales a utilizar:

• Tela de traje de baño
• Tijera para cortar tela
• Tiza para marcar
• Alfileres
• Hilo del color de la tela
• Barbie
• Patrones impresos
• Maquina de coser

Materials to be used:

- Swimsuit fabric
- Scissors to cut fabric
- Chalk for marking
- Pins
- Thread in the color of the fabric
- Barbie
- Printed patterns
- Sewing machine

Paso 1

Transferimos el patrón a la tela de traje de baños a utilizar, si es una tela muy delgada les recomiendo colocar una la tela elástica de forro para darle dureza a la cola.

En este caso utilicé un traje de baño que ya no usaba mi hija, ajusté y transferí con la ayuda de una tiza, el patrón a la pieza.

Step 1: Transfer the pattern to the swimsuit fabric to be used.

Transfer the pattern to the swimsuit fabric to be used, if it is a very thin fabric I recommend you to use an elastic lining fabric to give strength to the tail. 

In this case I used a bathing suit that my daughter no longer wore, adjusted and transferred with the help of a chalk, the pattern to the piece. 

Paso 2

Procedemos a coser la cola con puntada recta y luego zic zac, podemos también realizar una costura en los bordes de la tela para que quede mas bonita nuestra pieza.

Step 2: Sew the tail with a straight stitch and then zic zac.

We proceed to sew the tail with straight stitch and then zic zac, we can also make a seam on the edges of the fabric to make it more beautiful our piece.

Paso 3

Ahora realizamos la pieza superior colocando el patrón en la tela, cerramos con costura recta y zic zac.

Now we make the top piece by placing the pattern on the fabric, close with a straight seam and zic zac.

Paso 4

Lo mismo hacemos con otra tela que tengamos de traje de baño arruchamos que quede como un lazo y lo cosemos encima de la que acabamos de hacer.

The same thing we do with another swimsuit fabric that we have, we sew it like a bow and sew it on top of the one we just made. 

Listo....tenemos nuestra Barbie Sirena...
