Resulta que en casa de mi madre hay algunas cajas con objetos familiares, estos son hermosos recuerdos de personas y épocas inolvidables. Dentro de una de esas cajas estaba este bello y muy bien conservado maletín 💼 cuyo contenido es una tesoro para mí.
Déjame mostrarte todo lo que hallé mientras te describo con detalle el contenido del cofre 🧰. La verdad es que estoy encantada porque son muchas cositas que podré reusar o tal vez darle el uso para el que fueron tejidas. ¡Empecemos!
Hello friends. I hope you are doing great. March started with finds 😱 Yes! I found a treasure 🪙.
It turns out that in my mother's house there are some boxes with family objects, these are beautiful memories of unforgettable people and times. Inside one of those boxes was this beautiful and very well preserved briefcase 💼 whose content is a treasure for me.
Let me show you everything I found while I describe in detail the contents of the chest 🧰. The truth is that I am delighted because there are many little things that I will be able to reuse or perhaps give them the use for which they were knitted. Let's get started!
El maletín es de color negro, muy bien conservado, es de cuero y tiene un cierre. Dentro había una bolsa negra de tela, una bolsa gruesa plástica transparente, otra bolsa plástica delgada y algunas otras cositas sueltas.
Inmediatamente empecé a sacar cada una de las bolsas. La más grande fue la primera que abrí porque se podía ver desde afuera que estaba llena de flores tejidas. Por supuesto que adoré verlas todas juntas. Son flores tejidas a crochet, de diferentes colores y tamaños.
Algunas flores están sin terminar, pero la mayoría ya están tejidas y tienen un hilo sobrante como para coserlas en algún otro proyecto. La verdad es que son bastantes 😁
The briefcase is black in color, very well preserved, is made of leather and has a zipper. Inside was a black cloth bag, a thick clear plastic bag, another thin plastic bag and some other loose items.
I immediately began to take out each of the bags. The biggest one was the first one I opened because you could see from the outside that it was full of woven flowers. Of course I loved seeing them all together. They are crocheted flowers of different colors and sizes.
Some flowers are unfinished, but most of them are already knitted and have a leftover yarn as if to sew them into some other project. The truth is that there are quite a few 😁.
Entre todas las flores conseguí tres de hule, aquí le llamamos así a un tipo de plástico. Estás son flores plásticas, antes se usaban también carpetas o tapetes plásticos, de esos industriales. Hace años que no veía de ese tipo de flores.
También encontré muchos retazos de tejidos de cadenetas. Quizá eran para hacer un proyecto en particular como esas dos pequeñas hamacas tejidas que te muestro en la foto. Además dentro de una de las bolsas plásticas encontré tejidos ya terminados; mitones, bolsitos, ropita para muñeca, pulseras y cintillos para el cabello.
Me gustaron los mitones, están enteros, tejidos con hilo acrílico, el diseño es bonito. Por aquí los guardaré por si alguien alguna vez los necesita.
Among all the flowers I got three rubber flowers, here we call this a type of plastic. These are plastic flowers, in the past they also used to use plastic folders or mats, the industrial kind. It's been years since I've seen that kind of flowers.
I also found many scraps of chain stitch fabrics. Maybe they were to make a particular project like those two little woven hammocks that I show you in the photo. Also inside one of the plastic bags I found finished fabrics; mittens, bags, doll clothes, bracelets and hair bands.
I liked the mittens, they are whole, knitted with acrylic yarn, the design is beautiful. I will keep them here in case someone ever needs them.
No todo era tejido a crochet 😉 también estaban guardados en ese maletín algunos cierres, un poco de cierre mágico de color negro, botones, dijes y elásticas. Me encantó ese botón en forma de 🛼 patín. Ya veré en qué proyectos utilizar cada uno de estos hallazgos 😱
It wasn't all crochet 😉 some clasps, some black magic clasp, buttons, charms and elastics were also stored in that case. I loved that button in the shape of a 🛼 skateboard. I'll see what projects to use each of these finds on 😱.
Esto de encontrar tesoros es súper emocionantes, no obstante hay que tener tiempo y la disposición para revisar, seleccionar y decidir con cuáles objetos quedarse y cuáles desechar. En este caso no boté nada porque todo está bueno para usar, incluso las hebras sueltas voy a conservarlas porque me servirán para usar como relleno.
Estuve la mayoría del tiempo separando cada una de estas flores ya que son las que más se repiten. Supongo que fueron elaboradas con este tipo de hilo llamado Carmencita, aquí en Venezuela lo fabrican, sin embargo encontré en el maletín un empaque vacío del mismo hilo, pero de fabricación colombiana.
Conté más de 100 florecitas blancas. ¿Qué tipo de proyecto podré elaborar con ellas? Son muchas. A lo mejor fueron tejidas para decorar un mantel o un cubrecamas. Lo mejor es que son de hilo de algodón 100%. Eso es garantía de durabilidad y calidad.
This finding treasures is super exciting, however you have to have time and the willingness to review, select and decide which objects to keep and which to discard. In this case I didn't throw anything away because everything is good to use, even the loose strands I'm going to keep because they will serve as stuffing.
I spent most of the time separating each of these flowers since they are the ones that are repeated the most. I suppose they were made with this type of thread called Carmencita, here in Venezuela they manufacture it, however I found in the briefcase an empty package of the same thread, but made in Colombia.
I counted more than 100 little white flowers, what kind of project can I make with them? There are so many. Maybe they were woven to decorate a tablecloth or a bedspread. The best thing is that they are made of 100% cotton yarn. That is a guarantee of durability and quality.
