Buen día mis queridos Hivers amantes de la costura y la creatividad. Seguimos mostrando para ustedes otro de nuestro trabajo realizado. La verdad se hizo más de un mes atrás, pero por razones de salud, ahora es que puedo ir poco a poco mostrándoselos. Ya muchos de ustedes conocen a Carolina, nuestra mejor cliente, ella nos pone a trabajar durante algunos meses del año, cosa que agradecemos.
Good morning my dear Hivers, lovers of sewing and creativity. We continue to show for you another of our work done. The truth was made more than a month ago, but for health reasons, now is that I can go slowly showing them to you. Many of you already know Carolina, our best customer, she puts us to work during some months of the year, which we appreciate.
En esta ocasión nos trajo una blusa de guía para hacer otra parecida, ya que habían unos detalles que no serían igual. Coser para ella es una experiencia muy satisfactorio, ya que es de esas personas correctas en sus cosas, nos habla claro y si hay algo que no le parece lo dice pero también es la que te elogia y valora nuestro trabajo.
This time she brought us a guide blouse to make a similar one, since there were some details that would not be the same. Sewing for her is a very satisfying experience, as she is one of those people who is correct in her things, she speaks to us clearly and if there is something she doesn't like she says so, but she is also the one who praises you and values our work.
Trabajar con una pieza de guía es muy cómodo, pues nos orienta para lograr el objetivo final. Aunque en ocasiones estás prendas vienen con algunos defectos que al momento de picar debemos ser muy cuidadosas. Nos ha pasado que un lado es más largo que otro, está el caso de las mangas, por eso al momento de hacer los cortes picamos la primera y está servirá para cortar la segunda.
Working with a piece of guidance is very comfortable, because it guides us to achieve the final goal. En otros casos Carolina nos pide que sea exactamente del mismo largo la blusa, allí, solo debemos marcar los centímetros que servirán para el dobladillo.
In other cases Carolina asks us to make the blouse exactly the same length, there, we only have to mark the centimeters that will be used for the hem.
Por lo general yo pico las piezas solas, pero en estos últimos 6 meses por ciertas limitaciones, ella me ayuda. Soy la que hace las puntadas de costuras a mano para que luego ella haga el trabajo de costura en la máquina. Por cierto Jeraldine me dice siempre que nuestra máquina está vieja, que le gustaría que compremos una nueva, pero la economía ha estado muy ruda, espero que en algún momento pueda hacerle realidad su deseo.
I usually cut the pieces by myself, but in the last 6 months, due to certain limitations, she helps me. I am the one who hand stitches the seams so that she can then do the sewing work on the machine. By the way Jeraldine always tells me that our machine is old, that she would like us to buy a new one, but the economy has been very tough, I hope that at some point she can make her wish come true.
Una vez que ella finaliza la costura, la cual hace con mucha calma, yo estoy pendiente de hacer las fotos, picar el sesgo del cuello y ultimar algunos detalles como este que ven acá en la blusa en la parte del frente, una pequeña pinza, la cual se cose primero a mano para que luego cuando se va a montar el cuello, quede ya fijada correctamente.
Once she finishes the sewing, which she does very calmly, I'm waiting to take the photos, to cut the bias binding of the collar and to finish some details like the one you see here on the front of the blouse, a small clip, which is sewn first by hand so that when the collar is mounted, it is already fixed correctly.
Esta tela no recuerdo su nombre, fue algo incómoda de cortar porque se deslizaba, pero la pieza quedó muy bien, hasta mi esposo se detuvo un momento para decirme que nos había quedado bonita. A Carolina le encantó y no fué necesario hacer ningún ajuste, al ponérsela expresó "me quedó perfecta". Esos comentarios son de las recompensas más valoradas, la satisfacción de ella o cualquier cliente.
I don't remember the name of this fabric, it was a little uncomfortable to cut because it slipped, but the piece turned out very well, even my husband stopped for a moment to tell me that it was beautiful. Carolina loved it and it was not necessary to make any adjustments, when she put it on she said "it was perfect". Those comments are one of the most valued rewards, the satisfaction of her or any client.
Trabajar con mi hija en ocasiones es muy cómodo porque logramos hablar el mismo idioma al momento de tomar decisiones pero existen momentos en que no concordamos y ella termina diciéndo "házlo como tú dices", afortunadamente las cosas salen bien. Sin embargo, existen ocasiones en que su idea es la correcta. Hemos aprendido una de la otra, ha sido una fascinante faceta que hemos compartido juntas.
Working with my daughter is sometimes very comfortable because we manage to speak the same language when making decisions but there are times when we don't agree and she ends up saying "do it the way you say", fortunately things work out well. However, there are times when her idea is the right one. We have learned from each other, it has been a fascinating facet that we have shared together.
Espero sea de su agrado, le pido a mi Dios me siga permitiendo momentos como éstos para seguir haciendo lo que me gusta, poder aportar para los gastos de la casa y lo más importante pasar tiempo con mi amada hija y poder hacer el trabajo cada día mejor.

I share your sincere opinion, it is a blessing to have sincere and correct people in our environment. Working with my daughter is a challenge, she is quite a character. She is also extremely sincere and if she doesn't like something she says so, sometimes we laugh but there are also tense moments, which we overcome with maturity.
