Hoy quiero mostrarles algunas fotografías de mis primeros proyectos tejidos a crochet.
Blessed day my dear and appreciated needleworkers. I am very happy and excited to be posting again in my dear NeedleWorkMonday community, where I have received so much love and where I feel like family.
Today I want to show you some pictures of my first crocheted projects.
Luego de algunos días limpiando y ordenando, me encontré con algunos tesoros, entre ellos, mis primeros proyectos tejidos. Me llené de nostalgia al ver todos esos tejidos a los que les dediqué tanto tiempo y amor.
When we arrived at our home in Venezuela, many memories began to surface, many happy moments and some not so happy. However, the joy of being with family is insurmountable.
After a few days of cleaning and tidying, I found some treasures, among them, my first knitted projects. I was filled with nostalgia when I saw all those fabrics to which I dedicated so much time and love.
En ese entonces me llamaban mucho la atención las imágenes de ángeles por lo que tejí y bordé varias prendas con esa misma temática.
I was very excited to see the blue blanket I knitted for my first child. This blanket was my first project knitted with a cross stitch pattern that is usually used for needlework. It is a light blue blanket with the image of an angel. I knitted the angel in white so that it could be easily noticed.
At that time I was very attracted to the images of angels so I knitted and embroidered several garments with the same theme.
I also found a quilted quilt with embroidered images of the popular Winnie the pooh bear and his friend Tiger. This quilt was embroidered by my son's aunt and my mom did the quilting. I can say that my son was very fortunate to receive so many handmade gifts from the family's craftswomen.
On the other hand, I took some time to appreciate and detail my technique at that time and my evolution as a crocheter. I could observe a big difference in terms of stitch and yarn tension, as I used to knit with very thin steel needles.
I feel that I have grown a lot as a crafter, I have learned new techniques and experimented with many stitches and needles of different thicknesses and materials.
I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn; what I do know for sure is that I love being a crocheter and a crafter at heart.
It has been an immense pleasure for me to share with you these beautiful memories full of nostalgia. Thank you for reading, greetings and blessings.
