Making little clothes for my niece's doll! 💜😘

in NeedleWorkMonday4 years ago

Hello friends of HIVE! Monday of needle works, my favs. Today I want to share with you these doll clothes that I made for my niece! In a moment, she called me everyday asking me if I made the clothes for her doll. I had some days that I didn’t want to sew anything, so when inspiration came to me, I made all these suits.

I also want to tell you that I sold the doll clothes that I did in this post. I didn’t feel confident selling it, so I published it with a very low price even though it took me a lot of work and effort. The truth is that it was more profitable to publish all the process on HIVE than sell it in real life. 😂 However, the next time that I make some to sell, I will increase the price.

Regarding the clothes that I did this time, I only had to cut the little pieces of fabric. These are my little patterns. I combined one of top with one of skirt to made a dress.

When I made the shorts, my brain stopped because I didn’t remember how to sew it haha. After saw it for a minute, the illumination came to my mind and I was able to sew it right.

During the making, the garments look like this. They are seams so little that there are threads everywhere.

And this were the final results!

¡Y estos fueron los resultados finales!

Welcome my dear friend 😊

Ayyy, so cute! I think you did very well, considering that these are small. If it were me, I would have sewn my fingers too. haha

@arrliin, @wolfofnostreet and @lauramica: my fear is that the needle of my sewing machine breaks and hits my eyes 😱😱😱😱 This nearly happened once with my old sewing machine, now I am neurotic :-D

Oh my goodness! Can't imagine that. 😳😱

Oh that's scary

Once, my needle broke and the tip flew off. I never realized that it could have embedded itself in my eye until now, thanks 😂😂

Sorry.... now I have multiplied our fear 😱😂🤪

Wao!

Badass model. She has better clothes than me 😄

Have you considered making these in large sizes? They're so fashionable

She has better clothes than me too 😂
I haven't tried to make any of these garments in human size yet but I would like to make them one day.

Small but work is creative. Nice.

You did so well and I hope the payment will be much better next time (I hate it that handmade items seldom are paid their real worth) I love your flat lay photos of the garments, this looks so beautiful, I would love to wear all these items in my size <3

Thank you @neumannsalva! Yes, I hope the next time people recognize my work. ❤️
I will consider making garments in human size, it will be a challenge for me that I'm already used to these mini clothes 😅
