Happy Monday to all of you, Needle Work Monday friends. I hope you have started the year in the best way and that you have not eaten so much at your New Year's Eve dinners, although we all know that this is almost impossible. But I think it's okay, you have to take advantage of all the year-end delicacies, which depends on the dish, they probably won't be repeated until next December 😁.
On this Monday, the first sewing Monday for me, I want to share with you a project that at first scared me a bit because I had never done anything like this before but in the end I loved the result. This is another step for me in the world of lingerie and it is a full body harness, a special request from my cousin who loves sexy lingerie and everything related to it 😅❤️.

Espero que hayan empezado el año de la mejor manera y que no hayan comido tanto en sus cenas de fin de año, aunque todos sabemos que eso es casi imposible. Pero pienso que está bien, hay que aprovechar todas las delicias de fin de año, que depende del platillo, probablemente no se repitan hasta el próximo Diciembre 😁.
En este lunes, el primer lunes de costura para mí, quiero compartir con ustedes un proyecto que al principio me dió un poco de miedo porque nunca había hecho algo así pero que al final me encantó el resultado. Esto representa un paso más para mí en el mundo de la lencería y se trata de un arnés de cuerpo completo, un pedido especial de mi prima a quién le encanta la ropa interior sensual y todo lo relacionado 😅❤️.
The idea of a harness is to complement a matching set of lingerie to wear in those special moments of you know what. With all the OnlyFans buzz and all that stuff, these clothes also increased in demand as they look so flashy in photos and draw attention. The idea is that this whole set is used as in this mannequin: in my opinion it looks very sensual. What do you think, would you use something like this? 🔥
La idea de un arnés es complementar un conjunto de lencería acorde para usar en esos momentos especiales de ya saben qué. Con todo el revuelo del OnlyFans y todo eso, estas prendas también aumentaron su demanda ya que se ven muy vistosas en las fotos y llaman la atención. La idea es que todo este set se use como lo hace este maniquí: en mi opinión queda muy sensual. ¿Ustedes qué opinan, usarían algo así? 🔥

In my entire career as a lingerie seamstress, I've only had one first and only approach to harness making. On that occasion, that harness was for me and it was just an upper part, so it had few straps and they were all with my measurements, so it was quite easy to make. This time, my cousin wanted a bigger harness, with more straps and with her measurements that are different from mine. Between the two of us we tried to come up with a design that would look nice and we drew it to get an idea of what the clothing would look like. At the moment it seemed like it would work 💞.
En toda mi carrera como costurera de lencería, solo tuve un primer y único acercamiento a la confección de arneses. En esa ocasión, ese arnés era para mí y solo era una parte superior, por lo que tenía pocas tiras y todas eran con mis medidas, así que fue bastante sencillo de realizar. Esta vez, mi prima quería un arnés más grande, con más tiras y con sus medidas que son distintas a las mías. Entre las dos tratamos de idear un diseño que se viera lindo y lo dibujamos para tener una idea de cómo sería la confección. Por el momento parecía que iba a funcionar 💞.
Carefully, I took the measurements on my cousin's body, cutting the strips and assembling the rings and sliders. As the project progressed and there were more and more pins, the job got a bit difficult so I had to call my own model to hold the harness in place (this was the closest thing to a mannequin I had) 😅.
Con cuidado, fui tomando las medidas sobre el cuerpo de mi prima, cortando las tiras y ensamblando los anillos y las correderas. A medida que avanzaba el proyecto y cada vez habían más alfileres, el trabajo se puso algo difícil así que tuve que llamar a mi propio modelo para que sostenga el arnés en su lugar (esto era lo más parecido a un maniquí que tenía) 😅.
The real CHAOS came when sewing all the joints. When I sewed the neck part everything was fine, but when I sewed the legs and the waist everything was tangled up and I could no longer see the original shape of the harness. I was sure that at the moment of putting the pins I had done it well, but as it is better to be safe, I took everything apart and put it back together little by little, sewing it in parts. This added more work to the job, but at least it was going to save me having to rip elastics which is one of the most tedious things out there 😅.
El verdadero CAOS llegó a la hora de coser todas las uniones. Cuando cosí la parte del cuello todo iba bien, pero al momento de coser las piernas y la cintura todo estaba enrredado y ya no podía ver la forma original del arnés. Yo estaba segura de que al momento de poner los alfileres lo había hecho bien, pero como mejor es prevenir, desarmé todo y lo volví a unir de a poco, cosiendolo por partes. Esto agregó más trabajo al trabajo, pero al menos me iba a ahorrar tener que descoser elásticos que es una de las cosas más tediosas que hay 😅.
Después de una hora de toma de medidas y corte, más una hora de costura, el arnés se veía así 😶.
For this whole project I used red elastic, a detachable hook on the neck, 7 large jump rings and about 15 heart sliders. You know, I have dozens of them so I don't worry about that. On the contrary, I'm happy when they are part of a beautiful project like this ❤️.
Para todo este proyecto usé elástico rojo, un gancho desmontable en el cuello, 7 argollas grandes y como 15 correderas de corazón. Saben, tengo decenas de ellas así que no me preocupa eso. Al contrario, me alegra cuando forman parte de un proyecto hermoso como este ❤️.
And... finally the somewhat embarrassing but necessary photos to see how this thing looks (of course, suitable for all audiences). The good thing about these harnesses is that since they contain adjusters on each strap, they can be adjusted for any size or adjusted until it fits you well. This is exactly what businesses do: they make just one, always with the same measurements, and since they stretch, you can adapt to various sizes. Cool ❤️.
Y... finalmente las fotos algo vergonzosas pero necesarias para ver cómo queda puesto este coso (por supuesto, aptas para todo público). Lo bueno de estos arneses es que como contienen ajustadores en cada tira se pueden regular para cualquier talle o acomodarlo hasta que te quede bien. Esto es justamente lo que hacen los emprendimientos: hacen uno solo, siempre con las mismas medidas, y como se estiran los podes adapatar a varios tamaños. Genial ❤️.

I had a lot of fun making this harness because it was like stepping out of my comfort zone. I like new challenges and this was one of them. When I uploaded these photos to my other networks, several people liked this harness and want one, but as always, I remain firm in my position of not selling my projects because I like to do them as a hobby and not as a job. They will only have to settle for seeing it from afar 😅.
Me divertí mucho haciendo este arnés porque fue como salir de mi zona de confort. Me gustan los nuevos desafíos y este fue uno de ellos. Cuando subí estas fotos a mis otras redes, a varias personas les gustó este arnés y quieren uno, pero como siempre, me mantengo firme en mi posición de no vender mis proyectos porque me gusta hacerlos como hobbie y no como trabajo. Solo tendrán que conformarse con verlo desde lejos 😅.
Before I wrap up for today, I'll leave a little game for you. I will give away 3 Hives to who can guess first how many meters of red elastic I used approx to make this garment. To make things easier, the options are: 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m, 4m, 4.5m, 5m, 5.5m, 6m, 6.5m, 7m, 7.5m or 8 meters. No tengo la menor idea pero me divierte mucho, es increíble que algo se ve fácil sea complicado, hace tiempo hice un curso básico de confección ropa interior, me gustaría aprender mas pero debo comprar mi maquinita de coser. Bueno, en cuanto a las medidas me debato en el 4 y 5 calculando por la talla de ambas y porque tu prima dijo quería un arnés mas grande.🤷👍
Creo que hacer esto es más difícil que hacer todo el conjunto completo... mientras más simple parezca más complicado es.
Espero que algún día puedas llevar a cabo tus proyectos y que llegue esa maquina.

Saludos @lauramica, el arnés quedó muy hermoso y sensual, los he visto en las tiendas en varios colores , pero tanta cinta me marea ja, ja, no tengo idea de la cantidad de elástico pero por la cantidad de correderas que incluyen un poco más de elástico diría 7,5 metros.

Me parece un proyecto fabuloso, el color y esos sujetadores en forma de corazón, le ponen más sazón a todo el ajuar que usará tu prima en esa noche de pasión jejeje.

Ahh, I swear this is the first time I wished I had a manikin to help me. He couldn't even do preliminary tests on someone because the pins were too many and it was getting dangerous. Fortunately everything worked out in the end, I'm glad you liked it ❤️.

Y observando que colocaste las ligas dobles y va dirigido a muchas partes del cuerpo y no debe quedar bajo ningún concepto incomodo, ni apretado creo que debes haber usado unos 6.5 metros de liga. No se si estoy exagerando, dadas tus medidas y la de la otra persona, quizás a ti no te estire mucho la liga pero para la otra persona si es necesario. Abrazos y éxitos... 💕

I can say that back when I first got married I would have been all for this type of look. But after having five children I’m not as pleased or comfortable with my body like I used to be (with all the new pudges and wrinkles in my belly from pregnancy). Regarding the body, I think that to look beautiful we just need to feel that way, self-confidence is very important. Surely your husband will go crazy if he sees you in one of these or another type of sexy lingerie, because I think that men don't really care about physical things that women care, like stretch marks, cellulite or all that, even more when it comes to the person they really love. Honestly, I think it's what they least pay attention to in the you-know-what moment hahaha. All that is in our mind, that's why it's good when we can accept ourselves as we are and handle ourselves with good self-esteem :)

Very well said. It is definitely what we as women have and keep in our minds that makes us feel less beautiful. My husband really could care less about those things I struggle with lol…but I still struggle with them because I have yet to accept these changes in my body.
