Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi alegría por haber cumplido un sueño.

Cuando hice mi presentación en esta plataforma les comenté que una de mis metas para este año era adquirir una máquina de coser y aprender el hermoso arte de la costura. Les cuento que mis hermanas todas son costureras, cada una tiene su máquina, digamos que confeccionan de todo un poco, pero cada tiene un área en que se especializa, una se especializa en todo tipo de lencería, otra en ropa íntima, otra en faldas y bolsos, y la otra en ropa deportiva, todas lo hacen muy bien, hacen un gran trabajo. Así que la única que no cose, soy yo.

I tell you that my sisters are all seamstresses, each one has her own machine, let's say they make a little bit of everything, but each one has an area in which she specializes, one specializes in all kinds of lingerie, another in intimate apparel, another in skirts and bags, and the other in sportswear, they all do very well, they do a great job. So the only one who doesn't sew, is me.

En agosto del año pasado fui al pueblo donde vive mi madre y algunas de mis hermanas. Una de ellas estaba confeccionando unos pijamas para mis hijas y me impresionó lo rápido que lo hacía, eso de pronto despertó en mí el deseo de aprender la costura, se lo comenté a mi hermana y ella me enseñó un poco el manejo de la máquina, el dominio del pedal, a colocar el hilo en la aguja y en el carrete, digamos que fue como un intensivo de costura en 3 días, también realicé algunas costuras rectas, el manejo de la tela, fue muy emocionante de verdad.
Así que cuando regresé a mi ciudad le comenté a mi esposo y él me apoyó, en el mes de noviembre tenía el dinero para comprarla, pero surgió un imprevisto y tuve que aplazar la compra de la máquina.

One of them was making some pajamas for my daughters and I was impressed by how fast she did it, that suddenly awoke in me the desire to learn sewing, I told my sister about it and she taught me a little bit how to use the machine, how to control the pedal, how to put the thread in the needle and on the spool, let's say it was like a sewing intensive in 3 days, I also made some straight seams, the handling of the fabric, it was very exciting indeed.
So when I returned to my city I told my husband and he supported me, in the month of November I had the money to buy it, but an unforeseen event came up and I had to postpone the purchase of the machine.

Pero este mes, gracias a Dios, mi esposo me sorprendió y me dijo anda viendo cuál es la máquina que quieres que te la voy a regalar, me emocioné muchísimo, y con un poco de asesoría de mis hermanas, y después de visitar varias tiendas me decidí por una SINGER Promise 1412.

El chico que me dio la inducción fue muy amable, me enseñó todo lo que se puede hacer con la máquina y de verdad que quedé maravillada, hace maravillas. La compra de la máquina es apenas el comienzo de un maravilloso camino que voy a iniciar, de verdad tengo muchas ganas de aprender este hermoso arte, pienso hacer algunos cursos. Espero aprender mucho de ustedes, yo les iré compartiendo mis avances en este maravilloso universo de la costura.
