Aprovechando estas celebraciones de carnaval quería mostrarles una idea para hacer una linda diadema de unicornio 🦄, en diciembre le hice a mi hija el vestido que es para este disfraz, pero fui dejando pasar el tiempo y no le había hecho los accesorios y ella empezó a reclamarme, así que decidí hacerle una diadema para que este vestido pueda verse como un disfraz, aquí les dejo el paso a paso:

Taking advantage of these carnival celebrations I wanted to show you an idea to make a cute unicorn headband 🦄, in December I made my daughter the dress that is for this costume, but I kept letting time go by and I had not made the accessories and she started to complain to me so I decided to make her a headband so that this dress can look like a costume, here I leave you the step by step:

La idea para este vestido era hacerle una cola y las patas, pero debido a que no me quedó suficiente tela de esta, decidí hacerle una linda diadema, ella estuvo de acuerdo, sólo que me sugirió no colocarle tanto adorno ya que ella lo desea sencillo, alegando de qué si le coloco algún tipo de adorno ya no será el personaje de twilight de My Little Pony 🤭, aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:
- diadema
- tela polar
- tela de color morado intenso
- aguja e hilo
- relleno o guata
- máquina de coser, también se puede hacer completamente a mano.
- encaje
The idea for this dress was to make a tail and legs, but since I didn't have enough fabric left, I decided to make her a cute headband, she agreed, but she suggested not to put so much decoration on it since she wants it simple, claiming that if I put some kind of decoration on it she will no longer be the character from Twilight from My Little Pony 🤭, here is the list of materials to use:
- headband
- fleece fabric
- deep purple fabric
- needle and thread
- stuffing or batting
- sewing machine, it can also be done completely by hand.

STEP BY STEP
Comenzaremos cortando las orejas y cuerno, las medidas serán las siguientes:
Cortaremos cuatro piezas para las orejas en tela polar, estas tendrán de ancho o aproximado 8 cm y de alto 12 cm, en la parte más gordita le aumentamos 1 cm, para el centro de la orejita vamos a cortar un pequeño retazo de tela de 5 cm de ancho tratando de darle la misma forma de la oreja solo que más pequeño, el cuerno lo cortaremos como un triángulo ytendrá de ancho 16 cm y de alto 20 cm.
We will start by cutting the ears and horn, the measurements will be the following:
We will cut four pieces for the ears in polar fabric, these will be approximately 8 cm wide and 12 cm high, in the thickest part we will increase it by 1 cm, for the center of the ear we will cut a small piece of fabric 5 cm wide trying to give it the same shape as the ear only smaller, the horn will be cut as a triangle and it will be 16 cm wide and 20 cm high.

Para comenzar con las costuras vamos a unir la parte del centro de las orejas a una peca de tela por el lado derecho, luego unimos las 2 piezas de cada oreja por todo el contorno por el lado del revés y volteamos, vamos a hacerle un pequeño doblez en la parte donde lleva el retazo de tela morado intenso, al tenerlas armadas decidí colocarle relleno para que puedan quedar paradas ya que la sentía muy frágiles.
To begin with the seams we are going to join the center part of the ears to a piece of fabric on the right side, then we join the 2 pieces of each ear around the entire outline on the wrong side and turn it over, we are going to make a small fold in the part where it has the deep purple piece of fabric, once we had them assembled I decided to put stuffing in them so they could stand up since I felt they were very fragile.

El cuerno lo vamos a doblar y coser por toda la orilla y al final, en la punta vamos a darle un poco de redondez y dejamos una pequeña abertura, esto es para introducir la tira o encaje que se le vaya a colocar y poder fijar, el excedente de tela que queda no se lo cortemos ya que esto ayudará a que quede relleno desde la punta, luego volteamos y procedemos a colocarle relleno en la parte interna, luego le damos varias vueltas al encaje que le coloquemos, en mi caso le coloqué un encaje de perla corrida que tenía guardado, luego pasé costura en la parte de abajo para fijar.

Ahora sí, ya tenemos todas las piezas para armar nuestra diadema, estas las vamos a fijar con costura a mano, comencé primero con el cuerno luego le fijé cada oreja pasándole varias costuras para que pueda quedar bien, al tener las tres piezas ya armadas corté un retazo de tela morada intensa la doble y traté de cubrir toda la diadema, me hubiese gustado colocarle algún otro detalle pero mi hija no estuvo de acuerdo dijo que así le gustaba ya que así era su personaje, ya con esto finalizamos esta linda diadema espero les haya gustado
Now yes, we already have all the pieces to assemble our headband, we are going to fix them with hand sewing, I started first with the horn then I fixed each ear by passing several seams so that it could look good, when I had the three pieces already assembled I cut a piece of intense purple fabric, I doubled it and tried to cover the entire headband, I would have liked to put some other detail on it but my daughter did not agree, she said that she liked it that way since that was her character, now with this we finished this beautiful headband I hope you liked it

No pude hacerle los accesorios que mi hija deseaba, pero quedó encantada con su nueva diadema, me expresó su alegría y que ahora si parece un disfraz, su vestido con su nueva diadema, esto me dio mucha felicidad, es todo por hoy me despido deseándoles muchos éxitos y bendiciones
I couldn't make the accessories that my daughter wanted, but she was delighted with her new headband. She told me how happy she was and that now her dress with her new headband looks like a costume. Hola Marlyn. Que bueno que la tela haya sido suficiente al menos para realizar este accesorio, pienso que se ve muy hermoso y de verdad complementa muy bien todo el outfit. También me gustó la actitud de ese niña de saber que no quería una vincha tan cargada jaja, bien decida ella.
