¡Buenas tardes, días o noches según desde donde me lean! estimados amigos de @needleworkmondy, artesanos, creadores, en general.

Desde que descubrí esta comunidad, espero ansiosa la llegada del lunes, porque es la forma que tenemos de compartir nuestras experiencias.
El momento de volver a reencontrarnos y mostrarles lo que hago en mis ratos de relajación, así como conocer lo que ustedes me pueden aportar.
La muestra de hoy es una serie de flores que hice para comercializar el pasado 14 de febrero, día del amor y la amistad.
Es costumbre en el pueblo de Florida, Camagüey, Cuba realizar una semana de feria artesanal, que culmina con la fecha a celebrar en cuestión, para ello nos concentramos en los portales de la Dirección Municipal de Cultura y de la sede del Proyecto “HUELLAS AZULES”, los artesanos independientes y los vinculados a otros proyectos, que lo deseen.
El proyecto de personas con discapacidad “PARA CALMAR LA SED”, del que soy su gestora, no es la excepción.

Estas piezas, junto a otras creaciones, se agotan en cada feria por poseer un precio mas accesible para las personas de medianos o bajos recursos, que son mayoría dentro de la población y también gustan de los detalles para con sus seres queridos.

Me satisface mucho lo que hago, no solo porque es mi remanso espiritual y aporte a mis ingresos personales, tambien por la felicidad en los rostros de los clientes, sobre todo si son niños.

Las manualidades, para mí, son la sal que fija el condimento de mi creación poética, el momento de, como decimos en buen cubano, “desconectar” la mente.

Cuando estoy saturada de algún proyecto literario o necesito redireccionar el hilo temático de uno nuevo que urge terminar, o cuando estoy en un período de sequía creativa, para alejarme de la reiteración, recurro al recurso de crear manualidades donde el crochet tiene sitio de honor.
Aunque trabajo los textiles,bordados, parche, pirograbado así como el tejido con dos, cuatro y cinco agujetas y macré, el chochet es mi amante incondicional por su nobleza a la hora de crear.

Les prometo que en futuras publicaciones les mostraré como se confeccionan estas flores, son sumamente fáciles de hacer y muy hermosas.

En ocasiones, si no contamos a la mano con el hilo más apropiado, herramientas y accesorios, le resta calidad a lo que hacemos.
Los que se dedican a estas labores saben que todo cuenta, el color y calibre del hilo, la agujeta correcta y otro detalle que puedan aportar belleza al acabado de la pieza.

Me voy despidiendo por hoy de ustedes, la realización de esta publicación me ha dejado claras dos cosas, no basta saber que se quedaron satisfechos los clientes, hay que mostrar la evidencia de ello, como se debe mostrar con total transparencia que uno es el creador de lo que muestra.

Por ello, espérame próximamente en pleno ejercicio del proceso de creación. Un fortísimo abrazo para todos nos vemos el próximo lunes o quizás por ahí, en algún que otro comentario.

Good afternoon, morning, or evening, depending on where you're reading this from! Dear friends of needleworkmondy, artisans, creators, in general.

Since I discovered this community, I've been eagerly awaiting Monday, because it's the way we share our experiences.
The time to get together again and show you what I do in my relaxing moments, as well as learn what you can contribute.
Today's sample is a series of flowers I made to sell on February 14th, Valentine's Day.
It's customary in the town of Florida, Camagüey, Cuba, to hold a week-long craft fair, culminating on the day in question. To this end, we gather at the doors of the Municipal Directorate of Culture and the headquarters of the "HUELLAS AZULES" project, attracting independent artisans and those linked to other projects.
The "PARA QUEMAR LA SED" (To Quench Thirst) project for people with disabilities, of which I am the project manager, is no exception.

These pieces, along with other creations, sell out at every fair because they are more affordable for people of medium and low income, who are the majority of the population and also appreciate thoughtful gestures for their loved ones.

I find great satisfaction in what I do, not only because it's my spiritual refuge and contributes to my personal income, but also because of the happiness on my customers' faces, especially if they are children.

Handicrafts, for me, are the spice that sets the seasoning of my poetic creation, the moment to, as we say in good Cuban, "disconnect" my mind.

When I'm overwhelmed with a literary project or need to redirect the thematic thread of a new one that needs to be finished, or when I'm in a creative drought, to get away from repetition, I turn to creating crafts where crochet has a place of honor.

Although I work with textiles, embroidery, patchwork, pyrography, as well as weaving with two, four, and five laces and macre, chochet is my unconditional lover for its nobility when it comes to creation.

I promise that in future posts I will show you how these flowers are made; they are extremely easy to make and very beautiful.

Sometimes, if we don't have the most appropriate thread, tools, and accessories on hand, it detracts from the quality of what we do.
Those who dedicate themselves to these tasks know that everything counts: the color and gauge of the thread, the correct lace, and any other detail that can add beauty to the finished piece.

I'm saying goodbye to you for today. The creation of this post has made two things clear to me: it's not enough to know that customers were satisfied; you have to show the evidence of it, just as you must show with complete transparency that you are the creator of what you show.
