How to make fabric roses

in NeedleWorkMonday4 years ago

Hello Hive

Today I made fabric roses for an off shoulder dress am making.
This fabric rose can be of multiple function, for instance it can be attached as a ribbon with pin for ones hair or its attached to the sleeve of a dress.
I would be using this very one for my off shoulder dress which am still working on.

Above are the pictorial process I used to achieve this.
Cutting circles with share scissors to get those edges.
Next I had them attached/arranged to a bigger circle that will be sewn to my dress when am done.

The dress would take be like 24hrs to make as I would first be drafting patterns, padding and other important process to be done.
When am done we would have the complete pictures of my design.

What other use do you think this kind of a rose can be used for

Thanks you for visiting my blog.

Wow great art

Hello @monica-ene I loved the edge of the roses, I think the roses would also be nice for a headband.
Have a beautiful day!!! 💖

Is it the scissor ✂️ you used in cutting the edge that made it like that? Is very lovely ooo couples up with the rose you made stunning.....

Hola Dear @monica-ene
Seeing that scissors transported me back in time hehe.
My aunt had one of those scissors and I remember it was very heavy, but I really liked to use it.
I have also made this kind of flowers but as I don't like to sew much, I have glued them with silicone.
Yours are very pretty. Greetings!
