In addy to my wardrobe, a new Bubu-free gown.

Season Greetings

Happy blessed day to you and all of my friends in the @needleworkmonday community, how was your day? I hope everything goes perfectly fine, today I will be sharing with you all how I cut and sewed this simple and beautiful gown to add to my wardrobe.

We all know that we are now in the Christmas season and preparation for it, I didn't give a doubt but moved into the preparation, I know that tailors and seamstresses have no chance at Christmas time, but I know I will not have a much time in Christmas time so I took a chance to work on it, I have this remaining material and it was a traditional marriage uniform, I sewed for a customer and she gave me the remaining one to sew for my baby then I started thinking on a free dress style to sew for myself so I remember I sew this simple Bubu free dress style for my customer then I decided to sew for myself, the style was so simple and easy to wear.

The procedure.

I started by folding the fabric into four, I measured out my shoulder length which I divided by two then I used my burst measurement divided by four, I then measured out my full length and put in 3 inches so that it will be a little free and for sewing allowance and cut it out, after cutting out I cut out the neck point and slit the front for the front zipper so that it will be also easy to put on, then I used a bias and turned the neck.

After turning the neck I turned the zipper point too and put in the front zip then I cut out the pocket pieces and measured from the shoulder down to the point then I placed the pocket and stitched both two sides down and ironed them properly.

I then joined the front and the back together, cut out 5-inch pieces of the fabric, and bound the hem of the Bubu sleeves and I also gave a bending to the hem of the dress.

Here is the outcome of the dress

I wanted it to be so simple and free, but it came out so beautiful and nice, I hope you like it.

Thank you guys for reading through my post
