Mother's Day is approaching, a very special date for many women who have the happiness of having children, because they are in many ways an extension of themselves.
In them are found their genetic information, some physical and personality traits, but above all, a mother rests in her children dreams of happiness, prosperity and that they have a better quality of life than the one they had.
On the other hand, children receive from their mother the gift of life (actually the gift comes from both, from father and mother, but as we are talking about Mother's Day, you understand), that gift of life that we as children receive from our mother, is priceless.
If at this moment you are doubting that statement, then think for a moment how much your life is worth and pay it to your mother! ... the only way to pay is through retribution, that is, being a mother! ... hahaha I think I am in debt, I don't have children, so my legacy is to try to leave a good mark on the people who know me.
Mother's Day is a very special date, and every son takes great care to give his mother a special gift, one that makes her happy and brings a smile to her face. Well, for a few years now I don't give gifts to my mother, she is in heaven, but as I write this post, two occasions come to my mind where my mother cried with happiness on Mother's Day.
The first one was when I gave her her first bouquet of flowers, uff that was more than 20 years ago. I live in Caracas, Venezuela and my mom lived in San Cristobal, Venezuela, so a friend was my accomplice (by the way to whom I am going to dedicate my craft), my friend went to the florist bought the bouquet of flowers and took it to her early on Mother's Day. I called her just as my friend Josefina was handing her the bouquet and all mom did was cry.
The second occasion was when my brother @charsdesign gave her a bedroom set. For that gift all my siblings were accomplices. I was designated to take her out of the house while my brother changed her room. I remember he bought her the whole bed, nightstands, mirror, even the set of sheets, pillows and comforter. When mom came back and entered her room all she did was cover her face and cry, cry, cry.
The gift for my friend Josefina
She, Josefina, is a very special woman, I met her when I was 19 and she was 31. She automatically became my surrogate mother and defended me to the hilt against my "abusive" university classmates. It bothered her a lot that everyone asked me for information about the subjects and I gave the information with a lot of detachment and that bothered her. Hahaha I remember that she would send everyone to study.
During my time at the university, she became my transportation, my cook, my support, in itself, she is still my best moral support when I have a problem. She listens without judgment and then gives me her point of view, a very wise point of view indeed.
I am going to tell you something about Josefina, she always tells me that she has a lot of love to give... and that love she gives to everyone. She only has one daughter, who at this moment is 38 years old. She is the light of her eyes and her reason for living, I think a mother understands that phrase.
When Josefina became pregnant with her daughter, she had a miscarriage when she was only 3 months old. Her gestation was very delicate and she went on bed rest for the rest of her pregnancy. The rest required her to keep her legs up most of the time, which she did.
Over the years, she tried on other occasions to have another child, but was unable to do so. Miscarriages occurred. So she is the mother of one, but she has energetic children everywhere and I am one of them.
Josefina loves flowers. Her house is full of flowers! And when she goes out and sees a garden she stops and takes a picture! ... When I think of Josefina I immediately think of flowers, so I decided to weave her a flower chain. Let me know what you think?

Ya se aproxima el día de las madres, una fecha muy especial para muchas mujeres quienes tienen la felicidad de tener hijos, pues ellos son de muchas maneras una extensión de ellas mismas.
En ellos se encuentran su información genética, algunos rasgos físicos y de personalidad, pero sobre todo, una madre descansa en sus hijos sueños de felicidad, de prosperidad y que tengan una calidad de vida mejor que la que ellas tuvieron.
Por otra parte, los hijos reciben de su madre el regalo de la vida (realmente el regalo viene de los dos, de padre y de madre, pero como estamos hablando del día de las madres, ustedes entienden), ese regalo de la vida que nosotros como hijos recibimos de nuestra madre, no tiene precio.
Si en este momento estas dudando de esa afirmación, entonces piensa por un momento cuánto vale tu vida y págasela a tu madre! … la única forma de pagar es mediante la retribución, es decir, ser madre! … jajaja creo que estoy en deuda, yo no tengo hijos, así que mi legado es tratar de dejar una buena huella en las personas que me conocen.
El día de las madres es una fecha muy especial, y cada hijo se esmera en regalar a su madre un detalle especial, ese que la haga feliz y que le saque una sonrisa. Bueno desde hace unos años ya no le hago regalos a mi madre, ella está en el cielo, pero mientras escribo este post, vienen a mis recuerdos dos ocasiones donde mi mamá lloró de felicidad un día de las madres.
El primero fue cuando yo le regalé su primer ramo de flores, uff eso fue hace más de 20 años. Yo vivo en Caracas, Venezuela y mi mamá vivía en San Cristóbal, Venezuela, así que una amiga fue mi cómplice (por cierto a quien le voy a dedicar mi manualidad), mi amiga fue hasta la floristería compró el ramo de flores y se lo llevó tempranito el día de las madres. Yo la llamé justo cuando mi amiga Josefina le estaba entregando el ramo y mamá lo único que hacía era llorar.
La segunda ocasión fue cuando mi hermano @charsdesign le regaló un juego de cuarto. Para ese regalo todos mis hermanos fuimos cómplices. Yo fui designada para sacarla de la casa mientras mi hermano cambiaba su cuarto. Recuerdo que le compró todo cama, mesas de noche, espejo, inclusive el juego de sabanas, almohadas y edredón. Cuando mamá regresó y entró en su habitación lo único que hizo fue taparse la cara y llorar, llorar, llorar.
El regalo para mi amiga Josefina
Ella, Josefina, es una mujer muy especial, la conocí cuando tenía 19 años y ella 31. Se volvió automáticamente mi madre sustituta y me defendía a capa y espada de los “abusadores” compañeros de universidad. A ella le molestaba sobremanera que todos me pidieran información de las materias y yo daba la información con mucho desprendimiento y eso la molestaba. Jajaja recuerdo que mandaba a todo el mundo a estudiar.
Durante mi paso por la universidad, ella se convirtió en mi transporte, en mi cocinera, en mi apoyo, de por sí, ella hoy en día aun es mi el mejor apoyo moral cuando tengo un problema. Ella escucha sin juicio y luego me da su punto de vista, por cierto un punto de vista muy sabio.
Les voy a contar algo de Josefina, ella siempre me dice que tiene mucho amor para dar… y ese amor se lo da a todo el mundo. Solo tiene una hija, quien en este momento tiene 38 años. Es la luz de sus ojos y su razón de vida, creo que una madre entiende esa frase.
Cuando Josefina salió embarazada de su hija, tuvo un conato de aborto con apenas 3 meses. Su gestación fue muy delicada y entró en reposo por el resto de su embarazo. El reposo requería que tuviera sus piernas la mayor parte del tiempo levantadas, lo que cumplió a cabalidad.
Con el pasar de los años, intentó en otras ocasiones tener otro hijo, pero no pudo. Ocurrieron abortos espontáneos. Así que es madre de una, pero tiene hijos energéticos en todos lados y yo soy una de ellos.
Josefina ama las flores. Su casa está llena de flores! Y cuando sale y ve un jardín se detiene y se toma una foto! … Cuando pienso en Josefina inmediatamente pienso en flores, así que decidí tejerle una cadena de flores. Cuéntame que te parece?
