Hello everyone ✨

Many people have their various preferences when it comes to clothing materials. As today is #needleworkmonday, I'd love to show you this tank top I made and why I made it.

There is this annual event I attend each year in August. The event is basically a gathering of people;mostly youth. I made it a point of duty to attend this event each year because there are a whole of things to learn.

My experience last year at this event was a very terrible one. It started when my mobile device got bad and as such, I had to travel with my PC. The clothes I took with me weren't very comfortable and as such, instead of concentrating more on the roundtable discussion and activities, I was trying so hard to achieve comfort. As I came back from the event, I vowed that this year was going to be better. With that, I thought of the best possible outfits to wear and the first thing that came to mind was "crochet outfits".

August is still somewhat far away and so I have enough time to make three outfits as the event is always a three day event. With that, I'd love to present my first outfit for project-August.

For this project, I used two basic stitches; double crochet for the hand of the top and single crochet for the body of the top. I used a single crochet for the body of the top to prevent large spaces as my stitches aren't as tight as I would want them to be. I like this yarn very much as it is stretchy and so it could fit people plus or minus the original size.

It took me three days to make this piece. On the first day, I made the green part of the tank top. On the second day, I was contemplating which colour to add to the green as I didn't want the tank top to look so dull. I checked out a different shade of green colour, orange colour, red colour, black colour and even white colour but none of them seemed to fit right and so I finally settled for yellow.

I feel the yellow colour compliments the green colour. It helps to create a contrast and at the same time bring out the beauty of the tank top.

With one hundred and fifty chains, I made the hands of the tank top. At first, I didn't know if that number would be enough as I had it in mind to make the crossback effect but then I realised that my shoulders aren't that high. The number was just right.

I went ahead to make the loopholes for easy passage of the yarn. The first and last time I made a top with no loopholes, I struggled to get the yarn through the stitches and so, I didn't want that to repeat itself.

I finished this project yesterday at night and I was just so eager to try it on. It fit perfectly and so I went ahead to explore my options. I thought of wearing it with a palazzo and a jacket to go with it; making it look formal. Do you have any other recommendations?

I would appreciate your views and suggestions on this tank top. What do you think about the colour? Too dim or too shouty? Or just right?.

¿O simplemente correcto?

It was so cool seeing how a top like this as made ,I've always wanted to crochet a top. My first one is a bit wonky but that's completely on me for not using the right size of needle. I'm sure my next one will be better. Thanks so much for making this

You're very much welcome. I'm glad you liked it. Although I'm still new to crocheting, You could always reach out if you need clarification on anything.

Thank you for coming around ✨

Yah😊😘😘

Hello, the combination of that shirt is very nice 🌹

Oh,thank you so much. I'm glad you like the colour combination ✨

Being distracted because we are constantly trying to adjust our clothing sucks, glad you find time to make yourself a more comfy tank top, specs of die. It looks beautiful.😍

This year, I hope I wouldn't be adjusting my clothes up and down.

specs of die. It looks beautiful.😍

Oh dear, thank you very much. I'm glad you like it😘

Yes I agree with all. That yellow really helps bring out that beautiful green. The pieces you mentioned you’ll be wearing with it sounds like a good plan. I think your outfit will be a hit. Thanks for the closeups on the stitches ~ 😉

I also hope it is a hit 😄 and above all, I hope it keeps feeling comfortable.
