Feliz lunes needleworkers 😊 espero que estén muy bien el día de hoy, estoy en una etapa de reflexión, creo que este año el entender hacia dónde voy con todo lo que vengo haciendo será una parte central del año, así que acá vamos otro lunes más, por suerte mi examen ya pasó y aprobé, puedo disfrutar del tiempo de verano que queda antes del comienzo de clases, al final no hice casi nada de lo que quería hacer en costura, pero hice cosas y eso bastará por ahora.
Este nuevo top de flores es la nueva idea para mi emprendimiento, se trata de un top de espalda descubierta, que tiene dos lazos, uno más grande que pasa a la altura de la cintura y otro más fino que pasa a la altura de la mitad de la espalda.
Happy Monday needleworkers 😊 I hope you are doing well today, I am in a period of reflection, I think that this year understanding where I am going with everything I have been doing will be a central part of the year, so here we go another Monday, luckily my exam is over and I passed, I can enjoy the summer time left before school starts, in the end I didn’t do almost anything I wanted to do in sewing, but I did some things and that will do for now. This new flower top is the new idea for my business venture, it is a backless top, which has two bows, a larger one that goes at waist level and a thinner one that goes at mid-back level.
Empecé con un molderia básica de top, hice la copia de frente y espalda para poder hacer la transformación, desde la altura de sisa bajé en curva hasta 2 cm por encima del borde y le agregué unos 10 cm para el atado.
A todos los moldes le puse cm de costura y bajé 3cm más desde abajo, en el molde de base que tomé dice que el top está muy corto, así que me hice caso jajajja.
I started with a basic top pattern, I copied the front and back so I could make the transformation, from the height of the armhole I went down in a curve to 2 cm above the edge and added about 10 cm for the binding. I added cm of seam allowance to all the patterns and went down 3 cm more from the bottom, on the base pattern I took it says that the top is too short, so I listened to it hahaha.
Para hacerlo voy a utilizar tela de algodón estampada, me gusta mucho esta tela, pero el top es para la venta.
Para la costura hice el empalme de los costados, con overlook, la tela estira muchísimo así que hay que tener paciencia.
To make it I'm going to use printed cotton fabric, I really like this fabric, but the top is for sale. For the sewing I did the joining of the sides, with overlook, the fabric stretches a lot so you have to be patient.

En bordes superiores de sisa, cuello y esos extremos pase toda una tira un poco ancha de la misma tela, para que quede a juego.
En el cuello decidí ponerle otra tira y la cabeza pasa por encima, entonces el top se ata de atrás de dos formas, desde abajo y desde la mitad de la espalda.
On the upper edges of the armhole, neck and those ends I put a wide strip of the same fabric, so that it matches. I decided to put another strip on the neck and the head goes over it, so the top is tied in the back in two ways, from below and from the middle of the back.

Para finalizar terminaciones hice un rulote con la máquina overlook, aún sigo en procesos de aprendizaje con esta técnica jajaja creo que no se me da con las telas que yo decido usar.
To finish the finishes I made a roll with the overlook machine, I am still in the process of learning this technique hahaha I think I am not good at it with the fabrics that I decide to use.
Es diferente hacer ropa pensando en que a alguien le va a gustar que hacerla para mí, no voy a mentirles, pero me siento un poco perdida, entiendo que es parte del proceso de encontrar lo que me haga feliz y me represente, es un camino que hay que recorrer.
Hace mucho todo esto daba vueltas en mi cabeza y ahora está saliendo poco a poco a la luz, pero acá estamos firmes en la decisión de empezar y rogando que el proceso funcione al final, pero ya veremos qué pasa este año.
It's different to make clothes thinking that someone will like them than to make them for myself. I'm not going to lie to you, but I feel a little lost. I understand that it's part of the process of finding what makes me happy and represents me. It's a path that has to be taken. For a long time, all of this was going around in my head and now it's slowly coming to light, but here we are, firm in our decision to start and praying that the process works in the end, but we'll see what happens this year.
Por suerte en la feria nos fue bien, aunque el clima no acompañaba para nada mucha gente se pasó por el stand y compro cosas, por suerte no perdimos dinero, aunque mis tops aún siguen a la venta, pero tendremos más ferias donde exponer lo que hacemos, así que será cuestión de seguir intentando un poco más.
Luckily, the fair went well for us. Even though the weather was not very good, many people came to the stand and bought things. Luckily, we didn't lose any money, although my tops are still on sale. But we will have more fairs where we can exhibit what we do, so it will be a matter of trying a little harder.
