Hola needleworkers feliz lunes para todos ustedes 😊 espero que se encuentren muy bien el día de hoy, ya empezamos con el conteo final de fin de año y solo quedan dos meses, yo venía haciendo un recuento de metas trimestrales, pero el último fue en julio y olvide por completo el de octubre jajaja, así que eso será para fin de año, mis tiempos están muy ajustados pero acá estoy por que compartir con ustedes siempre es un placer, quizás recuerden que en febrero intente hacer un vestido de color amarillo que fallo en el talle, me frustre y abandone el proyecto por completo jajajaja, pues llego el día de la revancha.

Tenía un evento y no tenía que ponerme que me convenciera, últimamente mi estilo está cambiando, o mejor dicho se está ampliando un poco y algo que quería para estos días de calor era tener más vestido en mi poder, tengo solo uno jajaj que hice hace algunos años, pero necesitaba otro y será parte de mi plan de verano, tener algunos lindos vestidos cortos, recordé que de ese acto fallido la falda del vestido estaba cortada y que del vestido que si resulto podría copiar la parte de arriba así que puse manos a la obra y me puse a trabajar.
I had an event and I didn't have to wear anything that would convince me, lately my style is changing, or rather it is expanding a bit and something I wanted for these hot days was to have more dresses in my possession, I only have one lol that I made a few years ago, but I needed another one and it will be part of my summer plan, to have some cute short dresses, I remembered that from that failed act the skirt of the dress was cut and that from the dress that did work I could copy the top part so I got to work and got to work.
Si bien estoy muy atareada necesito coser algo creativo cada tanto u no solo mis trabajos de la facultad, es algo que está en mí, fuera de coser a veces, mi vida está dedicada al trabajo y a la facultad, así que necesito un poco de actividades que me diviertan.

Calque un poco la base del otro vestido y empecé a hacer cositas en el papel, como solo tenía que hacer la parte superior fue bastante simple, hice rectas las líneas, marque bien las sisas, y cuellos, y marque otro tipo de escote ya que ese no me gustaba del todo, intente hacer un cuello en v con vista delantera y trasera, una vez todo listo pase a cortar.
Este vestido tiene algunas fallas jajaja no voy a mentirles, la impulsividad me llevo a cometer unos cuantos errores, pues la vista estaba mal diseñada, la arregle en costura, la pinza fue totalmente al azar y quería que no sea tan ajustado de arriba, pero olvide tomar esa medida para chequear, el vestido igual me queda.
I traced the base of the other dress a little and started doing some things on the paper. As I only had to do the top part it was quite simple. I made the lines straight, marked the armholes and collars well, and marked another type of neckline since I didn't really like that one. I tried to make a v-neck with a front and back view. Once everything was ready I moved on to cutting. This dress has some flaws hahaha I'm not going to lie to you, impulsiveness led me to make a few mistakes, because the view was poorly designed, I fixed it in sewing, the dart was totally random and I wanted it not to be so tight on top, but I forgot to take that measurement to check, the dress still fits me.

Cosí primero la pinza, estoy cosiendo en hilo negro porque quiero que sea con contraste y porque también no tenía hilo al ton, entonces preferí que el contraste sea muy marcado, esto me permitiría también después hacer la puntada decorativa más vistosa.
I sewed the dart first. I'm sewing with black thread because I want it to contrast and because I didn't have any matching thread, so I preferred the contrast to be very marked. This would also allow me to make the decorative stitch more striking later.

Con el frente listo pase a armas las vistas ya que para ahorrar tela la delantera la corte en dos partes, y la trasera solo en una, había que unir todo eso que luego se uniría al cuello, esto es parte de un proceso que ya se hacer bien (casi jajaja).
With the front ready, move on to assembling the views, since to save fabric I cut the front in two parts, and the back in just one, I had to join all of that together to later join the neck, this is part of a process that I already know how to do well (almost hahaha).

Después pase a unir los hombros para poder unir la vista en el corpiño, cuando cosí esto me lo probe y ya me veía venir que me iba a quedar muy justo jajaja, la tela estira, pero muy poco, es menos de 1 cm, así que bueno para este punto ya estaba rezando para que el bendito vestido me quedara bien, mi evento era al otro día jajajaja.
Then I moved on to join the shoulders so I could join the facing to the bodice. When I sewed this I tried it on and I could already see that it was going to be very tight on me hahaha. The fabric stretches, but very little, it's less than 1 cm, so well at this point I was already praying that the blessed dress would fit me well. My event was the next day hahaha.
Lo probe en mi maniquí para ver cómo iba y se veía bien, había un pequeño detalle en el frente de la v de la vista que oculte con muchísima plancha a vapor y una costura decorativa después jajajaja, tengo que practicar más eso, ya que sé que hay un truco para que esto quede bien, pero lo había olvidado y no quería buscar tutoriales, ya que además era un vestido totalmente informal.
I tried it on my mannequin to see how it went and it looked good, there was a small detail in the front of the v-shaped part of the view that I hid with a lot of steam iron and a decorative seam afterwards hahaha, I have to practice that more, since I know there is a trick to make this look good, but I had forgotten it and I didn't want to look for tutorials, since it was also a totally casual dress.

Probe el vestido ya con la falda, que simplemente fruncí a mano y cosí con overlook y se veía bastante bien, creo que no se nota tanto que no es el talle correcto en la parte superior, voy a hacer más vestidos donde esto este mejor, lo prometo jajajaja. Como era muy largo lo corte un poco por encima de la rodilla, no uso nada que sea más abajo, siento que me hace ver muy bajita, y pues yo ya soy muy bajita jajajaja, para las terminaciones use rulote, tanto en sisa como en el ruedo para evitar que deshilache, quizás más adelante le haga un fruncido en las mangas y el bajo, no había tiempo en ese momento.
I tried the dress with the skirt, which I simply gathered by hand and sewed with overlook and it looked pretty good, I don't think it's that noticeable that it's not the correct size on top, I'm going to make more dresses where this looks better, I promise hahaha. Since it was very long I cut it a little above the knee, I don't wear anything that is shorter, I feel like it makes me look very short, and well, I'm already very short hahaha, to finish it I used a roll, both in the armhole and the hem to prevent it from fraying, maybe later I'll do some gathering on the sleeves and the bottom, there wasn't time at that moment.

Es un vestido que me gusta mucho, es muy fresco para los días de calor que se vienen y además es versátil porque yo me lo puse con zapatillas jajajaja, no es que fuera a un evento que necesitara formalidad, simplemente tenía ganas de ponerme algo nuevo y lindo, es lo que amo de coser, cualquier trozo de tela puede ser un gran nuevo atuendo.
It's a dress that I really like, it's very fresh for the hot days that are coming and it's also versatile because I wore it with sneakers hahaha, it's not that I was going to an event that needed formality, I simply wanted to wear something new and pretty, that's what I love about sewing, any piece of fabric can be a great new outfit.
