Hola queridos Needleworkers, espero tengan un lindo y productivo fin de semana. Cómo lo leyeron en el título de esta publicación, confeccioné un vestido de diosa griega para una concurso de de maquillaje, se trató del FACE TO FACE ✨ más que una competencia. Un concurso de maquillaje que se realizó en la cuidad de Cumaná en el mes de marzo, por Lucy Jiménez maquilladora profesional, quién participó en el concurso fué mi hermana @byveruzka, pero desde el principio la estuve apoyando en cada reto, el reto final era una personificación, teníamos tantas ideas pero está fue la ganadora, La diosa de la paz.
Hello dear Needleworkers, I hope you have a nice and productive weekend. As you read in the title of this post, I made a greek goddess dress for a makeup contest, it was the FACE TO FACE ✨ more than a competition. A makeup contest that was held in the city of Cumaná in March, by Lucy Jiménez professional makeup artist, who participated in the contest was my sister @byveruzka, but from the beginning I was supporting her in every challenge, the final challenge was a personification, we had so many ideas but this was the winner, The goddess of peace.
Ya teniendo la idea de la que quería hacer no sabía por dónde comenzar 🙃 pues nunca había hecho un vestido así, fué entonces cuando le escribí a @afrikablr para que me ayudara, gracias a ella pude realizar este hermoso vestido, mil gracias mi afrika.

Paso 1 || Step 1
Colocamos la tela en una superficie plana, vamos a cortar al sesgo, doblamos la tela y sacamos un cuadrado de 1 metro con 20cm medimos ambos lados para que estén igual. Ahora con la cinta métrica vamos a medir desde la esquina del doblez 1,20m y marcamos para formar una curva, cortamos formando un semicírculo, para hacer la falda del vestido vamos a sacar dos piezas de esta.
Nos vamos a la esquina del doblez y medimos 20cm, cortamos, esto espara la cintura.
Place the fabric on a flat surface, we will cut on the bias, fold the fabric and take a square of 1 meter with 20cm, measure both sides so that they are equal. Now with the tape measure we are going to measure from the corner of the fold 1.20m and mark to form a curve, cut forming a semicircle, to make the skirt of the dress we are going to take two pieces of this.
We go to the corner of the fold and measure 20cm, cut, this is for the waist.
Paso 2 || Step 2
Luego de tener cortado los dos semicirculos vamos a enfrentar los derechos el la piezas y cosemos los laterales como te muestro en la imagen 👆👆 la falda queda con bastantes ondas, acá vamos a coser también un dobladillo a todo el borde de la falda.
After having cut the two semicircles we will face the right sides of the pieces and sew the sides as shown in the image 👆👆 the skirt will have a lot of waves, here we will also sew a hem around the edge of the skirt.
Paso 3 || Step 3
Cortamos 30cm de elástica y la cosemos para formar un círculo, ahora la cosemos con zigzag al contorno de la cintura y doblamos hacia adentro para luego volver a coser, así quedaría la cintura del vestido.
We cut 30cm of elastic and sew it to form a circle, now we sew it with zigzag to the contour of the waist and fold it inwards and then sew it again, this is how the waist of the dress will look like.
Paso 4 || Step 4
Para las mangas corte dos rectángulo de 40 cm de largo por 20 cm de ancho, procedí hacer un dobladillo a los lados más largos de los rectángulos, ahora vamos a coserlos al contorno de la cintura enfrentando el derecho de la falda con el derecho de las tiras, al subir las tiras quedarían así 👆👆
For the sleeves I cut two rectangles of 40 cm long by 20 cm wide, I proceeded to hem the longest sides of the rectangles, now we are going to sew them to the contour of the waist facing the right side of the skirt with the right side of the strips, when the strips go up they will look like this 👆👆👆
Paso 5 || Step 5
Corté dos triángulos que luego empate a las tiras de las mangas, a estos triángulos también les hacemos dobladillo, ahora hice un fruncido debajo del empate y llevé las tiras hacia la parte trasera del vestido dónde las cosí al contorno de la cintura dejando las puntas de los triángulos hacia la parte externa. Un último detalle que le coloqué al vestido fue un cinturón dorado de encaje.
I cut two triangles that I then tied to the sleeve straps, these triangles were also hemmed, now I made a gathering under the tie and took the straps to the back of the dress where I sewed them to the waistline leaving the ends of the triangles to the outside. The last detail I added to the dress was a gold lace belt.

Amigos así quedó el resultado final del vestido, en esta oportunidad me tocó ser modelo de mi creación, yo estaba muy nervioso a mi hermana solo le dieron 2 horas para hacer este maquillaje, pero quedamos en el top 3!!! Mi hermana fue una de las ganadoras del concurso, estoy muy feliz por este logro. Friends, this is the final result of the dress, this time I was the model of my creation. I was very nervous, my sister was only given 2 hours to do this make up, but we were in the top 3!!!
