Hola amigos. Feliz domingo de descanso. Generalmente no descanso los domingos, me acostumbré a realizar muchos oficios este día porque debía iniciar la semana de trabajo dejando todo ordenado en mi casa. Así que se hizo hábito tomar los domingos para organizar todo y poder disfrutar de una casa limpia durante la semana. ¿Les pasa igual? Ahora que andamos con los preparativos de las fiestas de navidad 🎄 más ocupados estamos. Sin embargo 🙂 siempre tengo apartado un espacio de mi tiempo para tejer y relajarme. Les voy a mostrar lo que tejí en un día. Espero que les guste.

So it became a habit to take Sundays to organize everything and be able to enjoy a clean house during the week. Do you do the same? Now that we are going around with the preparations for the Christmas holidays 🎄 we are busier. However 🙂 I always have a space of my time set aside to knit and relax. I'm going to show you what I knitted in one day. I hope you like it.
🛍️ Para realizar este proyecto utilicé hilos pabilos de los colores negro y blanco. Cabe destacar que el pabilo de color blanco es el que usamos para amarrar hallacas. Aclaro porque siempre tejo con hilo pabilo, pero el que es más refinado y delicado, este al contrario es grueso y un poco rústico. Me gusta mucho usarlo para tejer bolsos, aunque me cansa bastante la mano derecha. Si fuera encerado o mercerizado tejer con él fuera una delicia, pero no 😔. También usé la aguja de crochet de 3,25mm. Las tijeras. Cinta métrica y aguja lanera.

I really like to use it to knit bags, although it tires my right hand a lot. If it were waxed or mercerized knitting with it would be a delight, but no 😔. I also used the 3.25mm crochet needle. 🛍️ Mi proyecto inicia con la elección de un granny. Este se comienza desde un anillo de 5c. Dentro del anillo tejí 8 grupos de puntos altos cerrados juntos, separados cada uno con 3c. Luego en la siguiente vuelta tejí solo cadenas, 5c-1pb por toda la vuelta tal como puedes apreciar en el tejido ⬆️. La tercera vuelta tejí ya para hacer las esquinas. Cinco cadenas, luego dos grupos de puntos altos cerrados juntos, separados por tres cadenas. Después dos veces cinco cadenas separados por 1pb. Así tejí por toda la vuelta.
🛍️ Si deseas tejer uno similar puedes elegir el granny de tu preferencia. Yo empecé a tejer con hilo negro solo estas tres vueltas. Al finalizar cerré con pd, corté la hebra sobrante y la escondí. Inmediatamente tomé el hilo blanco y lo enganché en un punto del tejido para empezar a tejer todo el cuerpo del bolso.
🛍️ My project starts with the choice of a granny. This is started from a ring of 5c. Inside the ring I knit 8 groups of high stitches closed together, separated each with 3c. Then in the next round I knit only chains, 5c-1pb for the whole round as you can see in the knitting ⬆️. The third round I knitted to make the corners. Five chains, then two groups of high stitches closed together, separated by three chains. Then twice five chains separated by 1pb. In this way I knitted for the whole round.
🛍️ If you want to knit a similar one you can choose the granny of your preference. I started knitting with black yarn only these three rounds. When I finished I closed with pd, cut the excess yarn and hid it. I immediately took the white yarn and hooked it in a stitch to start knitting the whole body of the bag.
🛍️ Para hacer crecer mi bolso solo tejí los puntos básicos de un granny; grupos de tres puntos altos separados por 1c. Solamente en las esquinas tejí dos grupos de tres puntos altos separados por dos cadenas. En total tejí con hilo blanco 🤍 12 vueltas. Mi granny termino midiendo 32cm.
🛍️ Siguiendo el mismo patrón tejí otro granny. Al tenerlos terminados los coloqué uno sobre el otro, lo estire un poco para dar forma de cuadrado y los dejé juntos unas cuantas horas para que quedarán estirados. Luego retomé el tejido para seguir adelante.

🛍️ El paso siguiente fue unir los dos cuadros. Aquí puedes elegir entre las tantas formas de unir granny. Yo improvisé tejiendo grupos de tres puntos altos en un lado del tejido, 1c y 1pd del otro lado 😃 es la primera vez que uno de esa manera, pero quedó muy bien. Así uní solo los laterales. La parte de abajo la uní con pd para que quedara más cerrada porque a este bolso 👜 no sé si voy a colocarle forro.
🛍️ The next step was to join the two squares. Here you can choose from the many ways to join granny. I improvised by knitting groups of three high stitches on one side of the fabric, 1c and 1pd on the other side 😃 it's the first time I knit one that way, but it turned out great. This way I joined only the sides. The bottom part I joined with pd so that it would be more closed because I don't know if I'm going to put lining in this bag 👜.
🛍️ Olvidé mencionar que antes de unir los cuadros, a cada uno le tejí solo de uno de los lados tres vueltas de grupos de puntos altos y tres vueltas de puntos bajos.
🛍️ Después que uní empecé a tejer desde una de las esquinas solo con pb. Medí a ojo para hacer el asa, dejando el espacio del ancho de mi mano de cada lado antes de comenzar y para finalizar el asa. El largo del asa lo realicé tejiendo 75 cadenas, pero siento que quedó corto. Después de las cadenas continué tejiendo pb hasta llegar al otro cuadro donde también tejí las 75 cadenas para hacer la otra asa.
🛍️ Sobre las 75 cadenas tejí dos vueltas de puntos altos, recorriendo todo el orillo del bolso solo con puntos bajos. Al terminar cerré con pd. Corté el hilo y me dediqué a esconder todas las hebras sobrantes que se veían al revés del tejido.
🛍️ I forgot to mention that before joining the squares together, I knitted three rows of groups of double crochet and three rows of single crochet on one side only.
🛍️ After I joined the squares I started knitting from one of the corners with bp only. I measured by eye to make the handle, leaving the space of my hand width on each side before starting and finishing the handle. I made the length of the handle by weaving 75 chains, but I feel it was too short. After the chains I continued knitting bp until I reached the other square where I also knitted the 75 chains to make the other handle.
🛍️ Over the 75 chains I knitted two rounds of double crochet, going all the way around the edge of the bag with single crochet. When I finished, I closed with pd. I cut the yarn and hid all the leftover strands that were visible on the reverse side of the fabric.
🙋🏽♀️ Pensé que podía tardar más tejiendo mi nuevo bolso de compras, pero solo tardé un día. Un rato en la mañana y otro en la tarde. El resultado me gustó mucho. Trataré de usarlo solo para mis salidas a comprar hilos para que no se ensucie y pueda durar bonito por muchos años. Es lo que me gusta más de tejer con pabilo, el tejido es duradero y muy resistente.

🙋🏽♀️ I thought it might take longer to knit my new shopping bag, but it only took me one day. Some time in the morning and some time in the afternoon. I really liked the result. I will try to use it only for my yarn shopping trips so it won't get dirty and can last beautifully for many years.
