For now I want to share with you how I made a keychain based on Dragon Ball Z, a small sample to show my fanaticism for the series that marked a before and after. The keychain bears Son Goku's personal training insignia, it is a Japanese Kanji, which means "wisdom, enlightenment" and is used by Goku when he begins to train on his own after having been trained by the god Kami-Sama and also by Kaio-Sama, I think it means seeking his own path of the warrior, this path leads him to become the legendary Super Saiyan. The keychain is made with wood to which I have attached a chain, below I show you how I did it.

Por ahora quiero compartir con ustedes como hice un llavero basado en Dragon Ball Z, una pequeña muestra para mostrar mi fanatismo por la serie que marcó un antes y un después. El llavero lleva la insignia personal de entrenamiento de Son Gokú, es un Kanji japonés, que significa "sabiduría, iluminación" y lo usa Gokú cuando comienza a entrenar por su propia cuenta luego de haber sido entrenado por el dios Kami- Sama y también por Kaio-Sama, creo que significa buscar su propio camino del guerrero, este camino lo lleva a convertirse en el legendario Super Saiyayín. El llavero está hecho con madera el cual he colocado una cadena, a continuación les muestro como lo hice.

I used a piece of wood that was 2 millimeters thick, it seemed like the best option to make the keychain, with the lid of a soda can I made the circle for the keychain mold. When marking with a pencil I used a wood saw to cut off the excess ends, I had not made a circle this way, on previous occasions I preferred to go to a carpentry shop so that the circle would not look horrible.
Utilicé un trozo de madera que tenía un grosor de 2 milímetros, me pareció la mejor opción para hacer el llavero, con la tapa de una lata de refresco hice el círculo para el molde del llavero. Al marcar con un lápiz utilicé una sierra de madera para cortar los extremos sobrantes, no había hecho un círculo de esta manera, en ocasiones anteriores prefería ir a una carpintería para que el círculo no quedara horrible.

In the next step I used a very coarse sandpaper, I used this to sand the edges that had been squared and thus give it a circular shape following the mark I made before with the pencil. After having shaped it, I sanded the wood with a softer sandpaper to remove impurities from the surface and leave it completely polished. I also did this with the ends of the circle.
En el siguiente paso utilicé una lija muy gruesa, esta la use para lijar los bordes que habían quedado cuadrados y así darle forma circular siguiendo la marca que hice antes con el lápiz. Después de haberle dado forma lijé la madera con una lija más suave para quitar las impurezas de la superficie y dejarla totalmente pulida. Así también hice con los extremos del círculo.

On a separate sheet of paper, I made the emblem of Goku's uniform, I made the drawing the same size as the wooden circle so that the kanji was well centered. Then I cut it out and used it as a template to draw on top of the wood. Little by little I made the kanji respecting its original shape and marking the lines well to then paint. On the other side of the keychain I made the silhouette of Goku's head.
En una hoja de papel a parte, hice el emblema del uniforme de Gokú, hicé el dibujo del mismo tamaño que el círculo de madera para que el kanji quedara bien centrado. Luego lo recorté y lo usé de plantilla para dibujar encima de la madera. Poco a poco hice el kanji respetando su forma original y marcando bien las líneas para luego pintar. En la otra cara del llavero hice la silueta de la cabeza de Gokú.

I begin to paint the entire wooden part except the symbols with orange acrylic paint, although the original model is on white, I wanted to change it because the white color tends to get dirty easily, and since the keychains are always manipulated by hands, I thought that The orange color of Goku's uniform was better. So I began to paint the side of the kanji with a very fine brush and finally the silhouette of Goku.
Comienzo a pintar con pintura acrílica de color naranja toda la parte de madera excepto los símbolos, aunque el modelo original va sobre blanco, quise cambiarlo porque el color blanco suele ensuciarse con facilidad, y como los llaveros siempre son manipulados por las manos, pensé que era mejor el color naranja del uniforme de Gokú. Así comence a pintar con un pincel muy fino el lado del kanji y por último la silueta de Gokú.

Then I start to paint the kanji and Goku's silhouette in black, I use another thinner brush so that the edges of the figures are not misaligned. I start first with the kanji which was by far the most difficult to paint and not ruin it in the process. On the other hand, with Goku's head it was just filling with paint but being careful not to go over the edges.
Después comienzo a pintar con color negro el kanji y la silueta de Gokú, utilizo otro pincel más fino para que los bordes de las figuras no queden desalineadas. Comienzo primero con el kanji que fue por lejos más dificil de pintar y no arruinarlo en el proceso. En cambio con la cabeza de Gokú fue solo rellenar de pintura pero con el cuidado de no salir de los bordes.

In the final details, I painted a black circle on the edges of the keychain, but not before making a small hole through which to place the chain, after that opening the chain and putting it in the hole. Once this was done, my Goku keychain was finished.
En los detalles finales, pinté un círulo de color negro en los bordes de llavero, no sin antes hacer un pequeño agujero por donde colocar la cadena, despues de eso abrir la cadena y meterla en el agujero. Una vez hecho esto quedó finalizado mi llavero de Gokú.
This is how my keychain was finished, I still need to put a layer of transparent acrylic on it, so it looks shiny and also protects the paint for much longer. It should be noted that in the world of Dragon Ball, martial arts are the main thing, each insignia represents a different style of martial art, where the philosophy of each school varies depending on the teacher. Here Goku is on his own path, so it is a search for himself, beyond the battles, there is an implicit philosophy that if you study you can learn many things. Así quedó finalizado mi llavero, aún me falta echarle una capa de acrílico transparente, así queda brillante ademas de que proteje la pintura por mucho más tiempo. Cabe resaltar que en el mundo de Dragon Ball las artes marciales son lo principal, cada insignia representa un estilo de arte marcial diferente, donde la filosofía de cada escuela varía según sea el maestro. Aquí Gokú esta por su propio camino, así que es una búsqueda de sí mismo, más allá de las batallas, hay una filosofía implícita que si se estudia se puede aprender muchas cosas. Espero que les haya gustado, es la primera cosa que realizo referente al mundo de Dragon Ball, por ahora me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad.

todo fino, el proceso fue muy bueno, usé bastante la lija para que quedara muy liso y suave. Pero con el accidente entendí que no todas las navajas sirven para cortar madera, ya entiendo mejor porque existen las que son especiales para tallar madera, y creo que necesitaré de esas para el futuro jejeje. Excelente, amigo, un llavero original y bien logrado, me gustó el proceso de fabricación y los mínimos materiales que se necesitan, lo otro es amor y dedicación para lograr un buen resultado, felicidades. Lamento el accidente, son cosas que pasan, pero hay que tener cuidado al utilizar las herramientas para evitar estos accidentes. Saludos
