Hello lovelies, I hope you all have a wonderful evening! Even though we desperately need rain, the weather is pleasant and my mind is buzzing with new ideas. I love being creative and realising little projects that are not only beautiful but also practical. But as you know, there is a time for everything.
Today I want to tell you a story - a story about a very special tin and the messiest smoker in my circle of friends. Everyone knows her: the person who leaves her cigarettes everywhere, never finds her lighter and just throws her cigarette butts in the corner of her bag. Well, I've come up with something just for this friend!
Hallo ihr Lieben, ich wünsche euch allen einen wundervollen Abend! Auch wenn wir dringend Regen brauchen, ist das Wetter angenehm, und meine Gedanken sprudeln nur so vor neuen Ideen. Ich liebe es, kreativ zu sein und kleine Projekte umzusetzen, die nicht nur schön, sondern auch praktisch sind. Doch wie ihr wisst: Alles zu seiner Zeit.
Heute möchte ich euch eine Geschichte erzählen – eine Geschichte über eine ganz besondere Dose und die chaotischste Raucherin in meinem Freundeskreis. Jeder kennt sie: die Person, die ihre Zigaretten überall liegen lässt, ihr Feuerzeug nie findet und ihre Kippenstummel einfach in die Ecke ihrer Tasche wirft. Nun, genau für diese Freundin habe ich mir etwas einfallen lassen!
A simple cough lozenge tin was transformed into a small work of art. Originally inconspicuous and functional, it was transformed with a lot of love and a good dose of creativity - a bright tin decorated with floral paper that not only looks pretty, but also fulfils an important mission.
Aus einer einfachen Hustenpastillendose entstand ein kleines Kunstwerk. Ursprünglich unscheinbar und zweckmäßig, wurde sie mit viel Liebe und einer ordentlichen Portion Kreativität verwandelt – eine leuchtende, mit Blumenpapier verzierte Dose, die nicht nur hübsch aussieht, sondern auch eine wichtige Mission erfüllt.
Decorated with fluorescent stickers, it shines like a little star in the dark. This makes it easy to find in your bag at night - no more endless searching in your dark handbag! This tin is your constant companion and should finally put an end to the wild cigarette butt chaos.
Mit fluoreszierenden Aufklebern geschmückt, strahlt sie im Dunkeln wie ein kleiner Stern. So ist sie auch nachts in der Tasche leicht zu finden – keine endlose Suche mehr in der dunklen Handtasche! Diese Dose ist ihr ständiger Begleiter und soll endlich dem wilden Kippen-Chaos ein Ende setzen.
Firstly, I cut out this beautiful paper, on which I always write little messages, in a round shape - to fit the size of the tin. I deliberately left one edge overhanging, which I then simply attached to the edge of the tin with insulating tape.
Zuerst habe ich dieses wunderschöne Papier, auf das ich eigentlich immer kleine Nachrichten schreibe, rund ausgeschnitten – passend zur Größe der Dose. Einen Rand habe ich bewusst überstehen lassen, den ich anschließend ganz simpel mit Isolierband am Dosenrand befestigt habe.
I decorated the flower pattern on the paper with the fluorescent stickers so that it glows in the dark and she can find the tin in her bag more easily. I fixed the paper in place with an old, cleaned freezer bag and spray adhesive so that it stays protected in the bag even in turbulent conditions. LOL, I can really imagine a little party going on in there!
Das Blumenmuster auf dem Papier habe ich mit den fluoreszierenden Aufklebern verziert, sodass es im Dunkeln leuchtet und sie die Dose leichter in ihrer Tasche findet. Das Papier habe ich mit einem alten, gereinigten Gefrierbeutel und Sprühkleber fixiert, damit es auch bei turbulenten Zuständen in der Tasche geschützt bleibt. LOL, ich stelle mir richtig vor, wie darin eine kleine Party gefeiert wird!
But let's be honest: cigarette butts inside your pocket are not a nice thing. They scatter everywhere, leave their mark on everything nearby and create an unstoppable mess. My girlfriend would never throw the stubs out into the wild - which is fine! But just letting them fly around loose in her bag? Well, that's been her solution so far. But that's finally over now!
The small tin gives the butts a home of their own - safely stowed away, far from sensitive objects and without the risk of them tumbling out of the bag and spreading uncontrollably. A small step for the environment, a big step for more order. And who knows, maybe this lovingly designed flower box will even symbolise a new, more structured start.
Aber seien wir ehrlich: Kippenstummel im Tascheninneren sind keine schöne Angelegenheit. Sie verteilen sich überall, hinterlassen ihre Spuren auf allem, was sich in der Nähe befindet, und sorgen für ein unaufhaltsames Durcheinander. Meine Freundin würde die Stummel niemals in die Natur werfen – was ja gut ist! Aber sie einfach lose in der Tasche herumfliegen zu lassen? Nun ja, das war bisher ihre Lösung. Doch damit ist jetzt endgültig Schluss!
Die kleine Dose gibt den Kippenstummeln ein eigenes Zuhause – sicher verstaut, weit weg von empfindlichen Gegenständen und ohne das Risiko, dass sie aus der Tasche purzeln und sich unkontrolliert verbreiten. Ein kleiner Schritt für die Umwelt, ein großer Schritt für mehr Ordnung. Und wer weiß, vielleicht wird diese liebevoll gestaltete Blumendose sogar zum Symbol für einen neuen, etwas strukturierteren Start.
I wrapped the whole can with insulating tape and put some fluorescent stickers on it - so that it really remains visible in any position. Well, I've really declared war on the cigarette butt mess! Can you feel it too? Of course, I'm finding it super funny as I write this. You should experience the chaos live!
What's in it for me, you want to know? Clearly: clean fingers! Because I'm the one who searches for my lighter or rummages in the cigarette holder during our car journeys. With this solution, my hand is spared unsightly tobacco residue - a real win for me! 🚭
So, tadaa - there it is, the glow-in-the-dark cigarette lighter box, made from materials I had lying around at home.
Die ganze Dose habe ich einheitlich mit Isolierband weiter eingefasst und noch einmal einige fluoreszierende Aufkleber daraufgesetzt – damit sie wirklich in jeder Lage sichtbar bleibt. Na, hier wurde dem Kippenstummel-Chaos ordentlich der Kampf angesagt! Spürt ihr das auch? Natürlich finde ich das super witzig, während ich das schreibe. Ihr müsstet das Chaos live erleben!
Was dabei für mich herausspringt, wollt ihr wissen? Ganz klar: saubere Finger! Denn ich bin diejenige, die während unserer Autofahrten nach ihrem Feuerzeug sucht oder im Kippenkasten kramt. Mit dieser Lösung bleibt meine Hand von unschönen Tabakresten verschont – ein echter Gewinn für mich! 🚭
Also, tadaa – da ist sie, die im Dunkeln leuchtende Kippendose, aus Materialien gebastelt, die ich zu Hause rumliegen hatte.
