Greetings nature observers. Today I bring you a very peculiar beetle for several reasons: its size, its long antennae and its appearance that is both ferocious and dangerous.

This is a species of the so-called longhorn beetles, as their antennae are characterized by being very long, sometimes longer than the body. Thanks to Google Lens I was able to discover that it is located within the Cerambycidae family. |

In this photo you can compare the size of its body, about 2.5 cm, and the length of its antennae in relation to the body. Despite its small size, its appearance can frighten many people, especially because of its highly developed cutting jaws. |

Here it is shown in a later shot, in all its splendor and beauty. Its color between gray and dirty brown with darker spots helps camouflage it with branches and stones. |

In these close-up shots of the head (side and front view) you can see its black eyes and its mouth organ made up of two thick cutting pincers. These beetles can feed on almost anything. |
