I'm back with another entry for #zingtober, and today's prompt is 'horizon.' The most obvious interpretation of a horizon is the point where the sea meets the sky, with the sun setting just below, creating a beautiful sunset. That was my initial intention, but as I started working, I realized I wanted to take it in a different direction.
I decided to reinterpret my initial idea in a different setting. Instead of placing it on Earth, I chose to go to space, to the moon, and view the Earth from the moon's horizon.

Once again, here's my complete artwork!
Two things that made this artwork an enjoyable practice for my drawing skills were the surface of the moon and the galaxy as the background. Creating the moon’s landscape was fun because it was something I hadn’t done before and wasn’t very familiar with. I had to look up images of the moon's surface online to help me visualize it in my drawing.
The galaxy was also quite fun to create. I experimented with various brushes, adjusting intensity and blending modes, until I achieved the desired effect. This process made me realize that there are many techniques in ProCreate to achieve specific effects. The app has a large library of brushes that can be used for different effects.
All I need to do is explore and test how each one works and how it applies to my artwork.
To wrap things up, this piece challenged me to step out of my comfort zone and explore new techniques, especially in creating the moon’s surface and galaxy background. The journey of experimenting with brushes and effects in ProCreate has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities within digital art. I'm excited to keep learning and applying these discoveries to future projects!
This is nice and interesting! Enjoying a drink on moon, when by right the liquid will just get dispersed due to lack of gravity.

The image is great, showing how step by step you created it is the best, however after detailing that the astronaut is very thoughtful looking at the planet in front of him.
I was thinking, how can he do, to drink what is inside the bottle, that left me more thoughtful than him seeing the planet.

Drinking on the moon... what a great idea!!! Hopefully we will live such times when traveling to the moon and having some vacation there. We are not far away from it if Elon Musk would want it to.
