Holo everyone!
In this post we're going to be revealing the first evolutions of the dragon creatures we posted about here.
We apologize for the delay in picking winning names as there's been so many entries thanks to our amazing community participating! Stay tuned for the naming contest to conclude and the next one to start shortly after! In this post we will only be revealing the artwork for the next stage in evolution as the naming of them will depend on the prior creatures.
Before we get to the evolutions, we want to announce our email addition to the website which we discussed in this post.
This is now live, you can now head to the website and upon clicking on your profile picture in the upper right corner and pressing "Settings", you'll be able to input your email address and check the box if you are okay with receiving marketing emails. You'll still be able to receive newsletters whenever we have important news to share but the marketing email addition will grant you access to receive emails more often.
Upon verifying your email you'll also receive 50 staked Zing!
Do note that this Zing is not coming from inflation but is sponsored by @poshtoken.
With this update we have also sunset the feature to set a referrer after creating your account, this means that from now on the only way to get new referrals under you is by directly inviting new people to our website through your referral link!
Your referral link can also be found in your profile pic tab under "Referral Program", we'll be offering players 5% lifetime rewards from referred accounts purchasing Vials, Healers, and other things we may sell in the future.
Upcoming Vial sale
Something many of you may have been waiting for for quite some time is inching closer and closer. To gather more funding for the team behind @holozing and the work being done, we'll release the sale of Holozing Alpha Edition Vials very soon!
For a limited time, you won't be able to open the vials, and to encourage players to get some early, we will adjust our zing distribution. Daily Zing tokens earned from Delegation Rewards will be lowered and increase Collection Rewards instead. Holders of Alpha Vials and soulbound achievements will compete for the Collection rewards during that time with additional soulbound achievements being released.
Your discount earned in our 2023 Advent Calendar will count for your first Vial purchase based on how many days you claimed Zing rewards, between 1%-31% discount, and that will also apply for your first minted healer in the future.
This will be our second major source to fund the team after a year of delegation rewards being distributed to hundreds of accounts. It'll enable those wanting to get involved with the project by spending liquid hive + hbd and other tokens and earn Zing similar to delegators offering their curation rewards to support the project.
After some time passes, you will be able to open Alpha Vials in a provably fair manner and receive a diverse collection of alpha-designed starter items and a starter creature that cannot be captured in the wild. At this point, Zing Collection rewards will shift to mainly reward a player's creature and item collection with closed Alpha vials only receiving a fraction of the distribution by then.
We'll be posting more details on distribution changes, what you can receive from Alpha Vials and more in our next post!
Dragon Evolutions
Now let's look into our Dragon Evolutions, while they're yet to be named, we know what they will evolve into!
The Dragons in Holozing will generally be quite rare with a low encounter rate. This means that players won't be guaranteed to encounter a dragon on their limited daily encounters when the game is in beta so if you happen to run into one, you should make sure to attempt to capture it. The dragon you'll most likely run into will be the first version, the normal-type:
Upon leveling the creature up it will randomly* evolve into one of five different creature types: Grass, Water, Ground, Ice and Fire as revealed here
*there may be factors that shift the RNG slightly towards a certain type, which we'll reveal later.

While we already have the artwork finished for the next set of evolutions, we don't plan on adding them to the game at this point. This means that the level required for them to evolve further won't be accessible in the beta stage of the game but instead in a future update!

I love the trailblazing game launch and revolutionary alpha plan leveraging the power and community of blockchain. So cool to be following the developments and be invited to participate early.
Alpha playtesting will be tough to manage perfectly but so looking forward to gameplay!
These look awesome. The second evolution look similar with each other with a few unique quirks, so I really like how those quirks really shine in the final evolution. Grass looking like a dinosaur, Water like a Loch Ness Monster, and Ground looking like a tank look great. Fire with the emphasis on the big wings make it look a lot smaller than the others, and from the side by side, looks even smaller than the second evolution.
It's hard to choose which one I like best since they all look great. Maybe the ground because it looks badass.

It's very difficult to choose, but for now, the water and fire type dragons are my favorites. 🐉🐲🀄️
Thank you, we put a lot of effort and funding towards the artwork being something that can stand the test of time and of course to come from real artists/illustrators!

Yeah, thank you. And @acidyo, will the holozing game be a mobile game downloaded from Playstore or a PC-based game? and is there a story mode like an adventure mode carrying out a mission? I really can't wait to try it😊

I loved the sea dragon, I loved its shape, appearance and evolution. And the color palette they used was great 😊
It is always a pleasure to read about new updates to the #Holozing game, and all the Dragon evolutions are excellent, which makes it difficult to choose one, but I don't like Earth types.

The updates are incredible and even more so when we adapt to what new users are asking for. All the Dragons are excellent and the Grass types will surely be my favorites
Ice dragon is my absolute favorite. It looks so majestic and cool.
Interestingly, from Pokemon, Articuno is my all time favorite, which is also a Ice type dragon/bird.
I guess I'm just really drawn to Ice types :)

No date yet for the Alpha vials, but we're aiming to launch it as soon as possible.
This does not include the dragon's above, however. Only the 4 starter creatures and a ton of unique alpha-designed items to help people in their beta journey!
