Sabemos que nos entregaron la vida, que es lo que más valoramos, pero además de ello, tenemos con nosotros una serie de dones, aptitudes, enseñanzas que llamaremos regalos y que vienen de alguno de ellos o de los dos. Por genética o por adquisición, bien sea porque uno de ellos se empeñó en enseñarnos un oficio en particular o porque indirectamente, como abejas, sorbimos eso que hoy forma parte de nosotros.
Quizá el regalo viene dado desde antes, por antepasados, y se conserva como un legado familiar, que ahora nos empeñamos en que también lo tengan nuestros herederos.
No importa si no fuiste criado por tus padres biológicos, quien lo hizo anheló que mantuvieras una serie de aprendizajes que con el tiempo te llenaran de orgullo.
Mi madre siempre se esmeró en hacer las cosas bien, decía que si no era así mejor no se hacía nada. Y mantuvo con sus hijas ese discurso de honestidad y valores, con una educación aprendida, que era su carta de presentación. Su suavidad de trato, humildad y buena disposición para hacerlo todo, me refresca su recuerdo, me encantaría poder transmitir lo mismo. Ella tejía y bordaba y yo veía la soltura de sus dedos para hacer ese arte y copié de ella ese gusto. Pude hacerle a hijos y nietos sus ropas de recién nacidos.
Mi padre escuchaba buena música, le gustaba la lectura y tenía atracción por el estudio de la lengua y origen de las palabras; pero también era creativo para la elaboración de piezas de madera u objetos diversos, pienso que mi hijo, luthier, heredó de él ese regalo para el desempeño de su oficio.

De ambos tomé lo que pude, y hoy en día, honro esos regalos que entregué con cuidado a los míos, entre otros, que no enumero por aquí. Ser hijo es también saber beber de la fuente que sustenta, estamos ahí como imanes o esponjas, de manera espontánea reproducimos esos dones y habilidades recibidas.
En esta iniciativa podrás contarnos de saberes u oficios, que tienes por tradición familiar y se repiten para alegría de todos y también de regalos materiales que fueron significativos para ti. Por supuesto que sí los padres viven también se pueden enmarcar esos regalos, sería maravilloso, que ellos supieran de ese agradecimiento, esta publicación sería su homenaje en vida.
¿Cómo puedes participar?
- Cuéntanos de esos dones heredados de tus padres o de las personas que influyeron en tu crianza, pueden estar vivos o no. Señala esas herencias que llamaremos regalos, puede ser un oficio familiar o tradición, como también una habilidad que te caracteriza.
-Escribe desde tu experiencias y vivencias anecdóticas. No te apoyes en inteligencia artificial para la escritura ni las imágenes, por favor.
