RE: ¿Atrapado en el placer? (SPA-ENG)

in Holos&Lotuslast month

Just a note about Freud. Freud thought that any human being, in order to mature, in order to become a human being, must abandon the arc-reflection, the immediate satisfaction. In such a way that some pleasures are abandoned for others, with the sole purpose of conquering other satisfactions.

To achieve any goal in life, such as finishing a race, it is necessary to learn to postpone satisfaction, or expressed in another way: to be satisfied with partial satisfactions until the goal is reached. Without sacrifice there is no achievement.

I don't think Freud was very far from Tolstoy. Nor of the philosophers mentioned above. All psychotherapy is a resignification of reality. There is no psychotherapy without ethical and moral development.

A big hug @janaveda.

Hi, @enraizar

A good reference to Freud. Yes, without sacrifice, no important goal can be achieved. I agree with you, in the end, intellectuals find similar perspectives on issues relevant to human nature.

Thanks, my friend, for stopping by.
