I've been through the same thing as you a million times, Famous photographers say that it is always better to be very close to the person to be more in touch with the situation, but it is not an easy task. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much.

Thank you, Dimas. Of course, it all depends on the intention and what you want to show. The great masters are right... it is precisely one of the greatest challenges of photography.
Another thing I always say is that once you've mastered the technique, that becomes secondary. It's about feeling and living the image. That takes getting close and involved.
